BagBlaze!!

Hey everyone :)
This is a quick review on a two purses I received from BagBlaze ages ago.

Why haven't I posted about them yet? Because the only way to really test the quality of a purse is to use it and abuse it!

bagblaze glitterpukee!!!

The point of the site Bag Blaze is that they do sales at below retail for a limited time only. If it is there this week it will probably never be on the site again. It gives you a chance to pick up cute bags at almost as cute prices. The goal is that everything is for less the $40. Not bad for a purse. I will include the official description below.
According to them, their mission is as follows;

Every woman needs a good-looking handbag to complete her outfit, and BagBlaze.com provides personalized and unique trends for every purse fanatic. For over 10 years, fashion statements have been made with our complete selection of stylish and stunning handbags. With our penchant for purses and an enthusiasm for trends, we offer under $39.95 on daily blazing handbag deals. Your budget will love - and benefit from - our modest prices. Our contemporary and swank collection of bags offers options for a variety of situations or events, from dressy satchels to slouchy hobos for happy hours to evening clutches for date nights and casual totes for the workplace or everyday carryall.

Astara Skin Care (amazing stuff!)

Hey everyone,
So today I am going to talk about Astara Skin Care
First off, I want to say that all of the products were really really wonderful. I felt like they lived up to their claims, the masks didn't smell bad, and they didn't feel like they were hurting my skin more than helping (extreme sensitivity makes many things not so fun to use).

I love the brand and what they stand for. Natural organic skin care for great skin. Fab :)
I received three masks, the Activated Antioxidant Infusion, and the Antioxidant Light Moisturizer.

The packaging is very nice. They all came in these heavy glass (mini sized)  jars. The only thing I would change about it is that I would put the Activated Antioxidant Infusion the same dark blue jar the full sized one comes in! It shouldn't be exposed to the light logically. Antioxidants can break down when exposed to UV light and the effectiveness of any skin car product is protected when you keep it in a cool dark place! (Mini rant.. sorry -__-")

The three masks are super cool. I picked out from the many different masks to try. The ones I ultimately ended up receiving were the Blue Flame, Violet Flame and Green Papaya.

Northern Star Polish

Hello everyone!!!

Today's swatches are sponsored by the amazingly talented Northern Star Polish!!! She sent me four polishes for me to swatch for you guys and a mini cuticle oil that smells amazing!!!!

To start off, the minis are 9ML!! That is so awesome because they are not as itty bitty as normal mini polishes. They have enough for a good number of wears, not just two or three like the all of the other indie ones. Which is perfect if you don't want or cannot rationalize a whole full sized bottle, but you know that you will want to wear it for  more than one or two times. The formulas were all awesome. They applied evenly and easily. I loved the colors and combinations that each had. I swatched all but Wuv, too Wuv over OPI's Skull and Glossbones because it is a great medium tone neutral gray that makes the glitters pop!

Kismets Kiss is an awesome glitter topcoat that has red micro glitter, small red and pink hexes, silver holo diamonds and grey and light pink hearts. It is beautiful on the nails but you do have to fish around for the hearts and diamonds. I think this polish would actually be easier to manage in a mini than a full sized like I recieved. I had to reallly roll the polish in my palms, Northern Polish uses Zilla beads a very large size stainless steel bead that could potentially shatter the bottle if shaken too violently. For future reference she includes three in each bottle, both mini and full sized. The beads help to kick up the sunken glitters effectively. Avoid storing this polish on its side or all the hearts and diamonds will get stuck to the walls of the glass.

I used the school glue technique so as to avoid having to deal with polish remover this time around!! Polish remover makes my cuticles all dry and yucky so I avoid it as much as possible. I also have been working in the Photography darkroom. Yay! More chemicals to wreak havoc on my hands..

Antares is a super pretty top coat polish that could hypothetically be worn on its own. It has blue green micro hexes, red and white medium sized hexes and large red star glitters. I love how it looks and the stars came out on their own with not too much fishing. If that isn't a win than I don't know what is! It applied evenly but was a bit thick because of how much glitter was packed into it. It was not a super "hungry" glitter but a few coats of top coat made it super slick and shiny.

Wuv, Too Wuv

This honestly was my favorite of the four. It contains hot pink and silver mirco glitters, silver hexes, red medium hexes,  pink and silver larger hexes. It applied beautifully, had a great jelly to it (I am wearing two coats here over a slightly tinted base coat) and the glitters were well distributed. I wanted to wear this color as long as possible so I could not do the school glue trick. The consistency  was relatively thin but not watery. I like a thinner polish so this was perfect for me. No major issues with having to fish around for the larger hexes either. If I could have chosen just one polish to receive in full sized it would have been this one!

Day Dream is a sheer purple jelly, VERY SHEER, that has purple and blue matte small square glitters, medium gold hexes and large blue matte square glitters. It applies well but the large blue squares are hard to get on the brush. I love it over Skull and Glossbones.

Girly Winter Jindie Nails!! Battle Royal and Dream in Color

My Lovely Lovely friend JindieNails has been waiting anxiously for these photos.
Yes,
I lost my crazy long talons to a fight with a box of panties at work. Don't judge me. They were tough panties and my nails were quite the opposite at the moment.  My nails now go just a bit past my nail beds. To many they will still look long. I hope my lack of talons will not turn anyone off. The shorter length does however make wearing contact lenses a feasible possibility for this sight impaired gal.

Now, enough about me, and more about these last two beauties!!!

I love Dream in Color and Battle Royale. In my Dr.Who obsessed Boyfriend's words "You have a tardis on your nails!!! And every other girl was amazed by how smooth and beautiful Dream in Color was on the nail.

Dream In Color

Dream in Color I can imagine is the biggest PITA to remove! Much like many other lacquers of it's kind it is made up of lots of black, white, green, blue and pink glitters. TONS of them. And they are SUPER TINY!!! Micro glitters in heaping servings.
I personally did the school glue as a base coat trick. It never works quite as well for me as it does for everyone else but its ok. I just soak my hands in warm water for a bit.
The polish applies smoothly and evenly on the nail. Even on long "Pretend talons" (fake nails that are not cut down to size) and my new found shorties :)
The polish dried quickly and to an interesting soft glowy finish. Without top coat however, the polish is not very smooth. But many gals love the finish, I have to admit I do like the look but my OCD with textures had me begging for some smooth nails.

Dream In Color

Battle Royale!!!
I love this polish. I wore it without a base color because it gave the color that much more dimension. I love how easy it was to apply. No separation, No clumping, No uneven distribution of glitter. Best of all, once it was dry and I was wearing it around there were no pesky glitters that stuck out of the polish and tried to scratch me!

Both Battle Royale and Dream in Color are relatively opaque in two coats. I did not wear either for layering because they were so beautiful on their own.

I wore both colors for over a week and had little to no tip wear. Battle Royale did get signs of wear first seeing as it is a jelly and not a glitterbomb.

Mally Beauty!! Review and swatch photo bomb :D

Hey everyone!!
This is a post about some pretty awesome products from Mally Beauty. Where have you heard that name before? Well the products are sold on QVC and the creator, Mally herself, is a well known makeup artist.
The two products I was sent are: Evercolor Silk eye defining system and Evercolor poreless face defender.
Which did I like more? It is a toss up. But I will introduce ya'll to the first one! Evercolor silk eye defining system.

Why is it awesome?
Packaging is absolutely adorable!! Pastel snake skin boxes!
The actual packaging of the products are also fun. They are the same color as the outer boxes in a soft metalic plastic compacts. The Eye defining system was in the color Tidal Wave.

Using just the flat oval side of the double sided brush I was able to create a fun colorful cat eye with a sharp wing!

I lined this eye with the eyeliner and then went over it with the powder eye shadow to soften the look!

Cute packaging!!!!!!!
Comes with it's own brush!!!

The top is just the eyeshadow (no primer used in any of these swatches). The second from the top is the eye liner only and the bottom is the eyeliner smudged out.

Eye shadow layered over eyeliner. The darker section is only eyeliner the shimmery is with eye shadow over it.

These two were super easy to apply. The eye shadow brush is small and precise. So you can layer eye shadow directly over the eyeliner and not have any unnecessary smudginess!
I  love the color, it is universal and would look good on anyone. It is on trend and fun for any time of the year depending on how you wear it! I love to wear the eyeliner smudged along my lower lash line to give me a fun pop of color!

This product is not as obvious. It is a great pore refiner and feels wonderful on the skin. But there isn't a whole lot you can say about it. I love the packaging. It is convenient and easy to use. It includes a foam round that is soft on the skin and it creates a soft finish that is quite nice. Also a great multitasker! You can use it both under and over your finished makeup.

Now that is just about it.
I hope this was a helpful review.
Until Next Time,
GLITTERPUKEE!!!!

599fashion.com Review

Hey everyone!!!

This is a quick review of 599 fashion. It is a web site that sells normal clothing for a whole lot cheaper. It does this by not telling you where the clothing is from. I chose three items, two *patent leather * mini purses in green and blue as well as a floral bikini.

What I didn’t know was that they clothing is not of their own making. The purses were identical and came from Forever21. If I had bought them I would have saved 6+ dollars each! They are great quality but were not as big as I expected them to be.
Because everything is cheap you do take a bit of a bargain at times. In this case the bikini was not as wonderfully built as I had hoped. It is awesome. Looks great except that the darts on the cups are a bit too… Sharp.. and pointy >..<

Overall I think it is an awesome site!!! You can get 3.99 bras and cute jewelry too! If something doesn’t sell out of it’s own accord they will put on clearance which makes it even cheaper.

But word to the wise cheaper(er) is not always better…they often sell out of the cute stuff first. You might end up choosing between Ehh and Mehh. I will definitely be checking out 599fashion.com in the future. I was originally supposed to receive a dress but it was sold out by the time I submitted my request and they didn’t substitute my other dress choice in for some reason. I wish they would have been more willing to do so. Instead they gave me my second choice substitute which was the blue purse. :/

A bit sad about that because it was a really cute little white dress that would have been perfect for summer!!

Check out their site here http://www.599fashion.com/

Hope this was a helpful review.
Until Next Time,GLITTERPUKEE!!!!

Hey everyone! autism awareness mani :D

Hey everyone!
I recently entered an autism awareness day contest (and used my sister's hands so that i could keep on my precious red scatter holo XD)
Please ignore her cuticles etc. she gets really nervous around exam time and the AP's are comingup quick!
The blue hand is "traditional" autism awareness, I used Sephora by OPI Slushied and Sinful Colors Grecian Sun then layered an unnamed blue micro glitter jelly with little silver holo hexes in it.
The green hand is "non-traditional", My little brother chose green, if you are new to my blog, he is a high functioning nine year old with aspergers who absolutely loves pokemon :D
Anyhow, he chose SC Olympia and Innocent as the two greens and I added call you later over it to mimic the blue glitter on the other hand.
I then used diamantes to create the little flowers in the colors of the puzzle peices from the autism awareness ribbon :) We took a bit of artistic liberty and added green so we could tie in the green <3
thanks for reading :D
Pictures follow :)

and until next time ...

Latest mani - silver and blue

So,
I first painted my nails in Revlon Colorstay Sequin. I love the color. It is a great foil with a slightly darker base than most silver foils. Then I layer 1 coat of Sinful Colors Hottie over all of my nails. After that I wanted to see how it would look with two coats but I didn't want to commit to it >..< So I did an accent nail. I ended up with three or four layers on that nail and it made me so happy! I love how techy and futuristic it looks :D
I do admit that hottie is not that impresive in the bottle, but for layering over neutral polishes IT IS DA BOMB!

I loved this mani, it was fun and lasted a long time (I went camping after putting it on and it didn't go anywhere!)

anywhooo
thanks for reading

blue mani for autism awareness day...

Ok, so everyone asks me when I post "wear blue tomorrow" or "wear red and black next monday" why are we wearing this?? and I reply with "it is autism awareness day" or "the light the night walk is that night".
My younger brother is 9, has aspergers (which means that he is on the outter edges out autism.. )he is an amazing kid, crazy bright, loves pokemon but is totally clueless about personal space.
Anyhow, he got in trouble with his PE teacher before he got accommodations and the teacher's were formally informed that he is in fact a special needs student despite the fact that he is bloody brilliant.
My purpose for sharing this little anecdote is to make the point that someone HAS to CARE.I am know I am not the only one who does.. and this is me showing my support for a campaign I truly believe in.
This is my blue mani <3 My brother laughed at me when I told him why I was painting my nails blue and said that he would rather me paint pikachu nails... oh well. can't make everyone happy lol

The color is Neptune from the Sinful colors castaway collection.
It is a gorgeous mid to deep dusty blue with a gorgeous greenish beigish glass fleck thing going on.
This is three coats with OPI rapid dry top coat over it. I love that the SC glass flecks dry super fast :D
