Morgan Taylor Lacquer, They are so awesome!!

I haven't done one of these in a bit but the Morgan Taylor Polishes were just so great! I was sent three out of the core line of so so so many! They have awesome application, both Wonder Woman and Dress Up were actually opaque in one coat but I did two out of habit. I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here. I love how they are all about us, the nail polish lovers (they say Professional, but we all know what they really mean ;)  The color range they offer is simply awe inspiring considering they are a pretty new brand compared to the older tried and trues. They seem to have at least 99 colors just in their core collection. WOW! I love that they have not just reds, pinks, nudes and silver/gold. But also glitters, blues, purples and greens. I LOVE IT! 

What is even more amazing is the speed at which they dry. I am a busy person, and I do not often get time to do a full manicure and let it dry as it pleases. But with Morgan Taylor Lacquer, the consistency is a bit thick, but it dries super fast! It is in between a brush on Gel Polish and a normal nail polish. It is super shiny even without top coat. I put on a coat of Out The Door in the photos because I teach swim lessons early in the morning, before the break of day, so I couldn't risk chipping because of the water. My cuticles are sad looking, yes. And the photos of New York State of Mind show some wear from the water. But other than that they held up pretty well considering I spend three plus hours a day in the water for the past two weeks.

Wonder Woman First, A blue base red with a gorgeous glossy shine and shimmer. Spot on for the red I think of when I bring to mind the Iconic Super Heroine







New York State of Mind. Funny thing is, my aunt who is a definite New Yorker saw this polish with no knowledge of the name and said Oooohhh give me. What do ya know? :P 
It is a super pretty multi colored glitter set (blue, pink, red, silver micro glitters, gold) in a deep blurpley jelly base. Definitely textured without a good topcoat. I think I am wearing about three coats here plus two of topcoat. A "hungry glitter" if not treated as a textured polish. 








Dress Up. Might actually be my favorite. Easiest application out of the three, super fast drying, super flattering color. The pretty lilac color is one of my favorites in nail polish, I already have three similar but this one takes the cake. It was completely opaque in one coat. A bit more intense at two. I should have done some cleanup but I was test driving a new gadget to make lazy polishers happy :) 








I love them and would recommend Morgan Taylor Lacquer to anyone! They are also doing a Breast Cancer Awareness Collection that I think is absolutely fabulous!

In the Near Future: Unisqo Lenses

Hey Ya'll!!!
I a going to be doing a review of Unisqo lenses. They will be red and awesome :D

I also have to comment on the fact that when you go to sign up/register in their shop the automatic setting is that you are not signed up for emails! That is pretty darn nice of them to not take advantage of the fact that most people are a bit lazy and don't read everything in the form.

I also love that they have a comprehensive contact lens library. What does that mean? This means that they have almost all the information you could possibly need about circle lenses. All on their site!  

I cannot express how excited I am about getting these contacts :D It is going to be so cool finally having my costume all together!

Reviva Labs Skin Care

I want to introduce a really awesome skin care company that mostly focuses on Anti-Aging stuff. However, the other products that are for all skin types and ages are amazing!  

Something about the company! 
In 1973 when Reviva Labs was established, the word “Exfoliation” was unknown in America. That was over 40 years ago. Now, the Products I recieved were the Pomegranate / Lactic Acid Exfoilant, Light Peel, Gycolic Acid Cleanser, and  the Anti- Irritant gel with Aloe. 


What are my favorites?
Probably the Light Peel and the Glycolic Acid cleanser. 


The Light Peel is a non chemical peel that pulls all the flakyness off your skin! It irritates my skin a bit because my skin is sooooo sensitive but in the end the results are totally worth it!! I love that it does not use any harsh chemicals. It is said to be the first of its kind, a physical instead of chemical peel. It is an easy product to use and I love how so and smooth my skin is left after using it. 

According to their site;

Light Skin Peel 1.5oz (107) "Peeling" is a European term for one of the most unique European items in the entire cosmetic field. THIS IS NOT A HARSH CHEMICAL PEEL. It doesn't "peel skin" as we know it, but gently lifts off more hardened, dried skin cells than can be achieved by scrubs or any other "exfoliating" product. Dead-cell accumulation prevents treatment products from penetrating and keeps skin tone from looking fresh and vibrant. For aging and problem skin, PEEL is absolutely vital; it offers multiple benefits, which one can see and feel with just one application. Used by Europe's top Skin Treatment Specialists as a supplementary cleansing step in any skin care program. Any skin type, any age, can benefit from a once-a-week "Peel". Our Peel ingredients also stimulate the deeper new cells to move upward at a faster rate - causing the skin surface to look tighter, clearer and healthier. It really is a wonderful product. My other favorite was the Glycolic Acid Cleanser 4oz. It leaves the skin feeling silky and smooth without drying my skin!  The site description leaves a little wanting "Removes makeup as well as deep cleans with mild exfoliation. Includes no fatty acids or oils common to other cleansers that could interfere with glycolic action. " However, it really is a wonderful cleanser. I have skin that is generally on the dry side and even after using Cetaphil my skin feels tight. The gentle cleansing that I get from the Glycol Acid Cleanser does not strip oils from my skin like others have. I would also recommend it for people who are trying to fade scarring because the Glycolic Acid content does promote cell turnover.  Anti-Irritant Gel!  This stuff works miracles. And that is actually the story behind it. It is an aloe type gel that feels great on the skin and seems to help heal faster. It has a complicated backstory about (what I think is magic) that I cannot transcribe here and can't find online (odd). I got sunburnt recently and I made it through half of my bottle of Anti-Irritant Gel. I used it in conjunction with an Aloe/ Lidocaine gel to help cut the burn.  The last item was the Pomegranate / Lactic Acid Exfoilant ; it feels great once off the skin, is a bit of an odd consistency (lumpy, full of granules, creamy base product, bit inconsistent  but overall it is a great exfoilant! It uses a combination of low level chemicals exfoilants with a small amount of physical exfoilants. The granules gently rub off dead skin as you remove the Exfoilant. The creamy mask like base uses Lactic Acid to gently melt away dead skin while it is on your skin. You can use it up to three times a week and it immediately leaves you with improved skin texture. Talk about immediate results the Pomegranate / Lactic Acid Exfoilant gets you them.  Pomegranate / Lactic Acid Exfoliant 2oz (108) Reviva's new Pomegranate / Lactic Acid Exfoliant features all-natural ingredients. Lactic acid and a complex of plant & herbal extracts remove dead skin; pomegranate, a strong antioxidant, fights future skin damage and peptides, allantoin and soy treat past skin damage. Non-abrasive, each application of the mild, new exfoliant (can be used 3 times weekly), leaves skin looking clearer, brighter and feeling smoother. Overall, I would definitely recommend RevivaLabs products to anyone with skin! Seriously. Although their main focus may be anti-aging skin care, most of their products are good for all ages of skin. Anti-Aging skin care starts in the mid 20's so it really never is too soon to start protecting your skin :) The price point is really good; most things are under $20, and the products all last a really long time! BTW!!!!!!!!!!! Sunscreen is THE BEST ANTI_AGING product EVER. Nothing can beat protecting the collagen in your skin. BagBlaze!!

This is a quick review on a two purses I received from BagBlaze ages ago. 

Why haven't I posted about them yet? Because the only way to really test the quality of a purse is to use it and abuse it! 



The point of the site Bag Blaze is that they do sales at below retail for a limited time only. If it is there this week it will probably never be on the site again. Northern Star Polish

Hello everyone!!!

Today's swatches are sponsored by the amazingly talented Northern Star Polish!!! She sent me four polishes for me to swatch for you guys and a mini cuticle oil that smells amazing!!!!

To start off, the minis are 9ML!! That is so awesome because they are not as itty bitty as normal mini polishes. They have enough for a good number of wears, not just two or three like the all of the other indie ones. Which is perfect if you don't want or cannot rationalize a whole full sized bottle, but you know that you will want to wear it for  more than one or two times. The formulas were all awesome. They applied evenly and easily. I loved the colors and combinations that each had. I swatched all but Wuv, too Wuv over OPI's Skull and Glossbones because it is a great medium tone neutral gray that makes the glitters pop!

Kismets Kiss is an awesome glitter topcoat that has red micro glitter, small red and pink hexes, silver holo diamonds and grey and light pink hearts. It is beautiful on the nails but you do have to fish around for the hearts and diamonds. I think this polish would actually be easier to manage in a mini than a full sized like I recieved. I had to reallly roll the polish in my palms, Northern Polish uses Zilla beads a very large size stainless steel bead that could potentially shatter the bottle if shaken too violently. For future reference she includes three in each bottle, both mini and full sized. The beads help to kick up the sunken glitters effectively. Avoid storing this polish on its side or all the hearts and diamonds will get stuck to the walls of the glass. 













I used the school glue technique so as to avoid having to deal with polish remover this time around!! Polish remover makes my cuticles all dry and yucky so I avoid it as much as possible. I also have been working in the Photography darkroom. Yay! More chemicals to wreak havoc on my hands..


Antares is a super pretty top coat polish that could hypothetically be worn on its own. It has blue green micro hexes, red and white medium sized hexes and large red star glitters. I love how it looks and the stars came out on their own with not too much fishing. If that isn't a win than I don't know what is! It applied evenly but was a bit thick because of how much glitter was packed into it. It was not a super "hungry" glitter but a few coats of top coat made it super slick and shiny. 










Wuv, Too Wuv

This honestly was my favorite of the four. It contains hot pink and silver mirco glitters, silver hexes, red medium hexes,  pink and silver larger hexes. It applied beautifully, had a great jelly to it (I am wearing two coats here over a slightly tinted base coat) and the glitters were well distributed. I wanted to wear this color as long as possible so I could not do the school glue trick. The consistency  was relatively thin but not watery. I like a thinner polish so this was perfect for me. No major issues with having to fish around for the larger hexes either. If I could have chosen just one polish to receive in full sized it would have been this one! 









Day Dream is a sheer purple jelly, VERY SHEER, that has purple and blue matte small square glitters, medium gold hexes and large blue matte square glitters. It applies well but the large blue squares are hard to get on the brush. I love it over Skull and Glossbones. 





Overall I loved these polishes. If I ever get the chance I would LOVE to get to work with Northern Star Polish again. I will link her information below.
