Curology: My last resort

Image result for curology logo
Hello Lovlies,

So, I want to talk about my curology experience. I have struggled with mild to moderate acne for the past few years. However, about three months ago something changed and my skin went from regular to bad very quickly. I will be including photos of my skin from that time so please keep that in mind after the jump. The photos are not of the worst my skin got because I tried to wait it out and avoid photos for almost two weeks before breaking down and signing up for a Curology trial. My intitial cost was about $4 for shipping my first bottle. Each month following is $20 with a bottle of your custom prescription shipped every two to three months depending on your usage. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your care at 90 days you can get a full refund.

Life Updates

Hello everyone,

It has been more than a hot second since I last posted. My personal life has been a mess but I really am trying to get back into blogging because writting is therapeutic.
I'm embarking both a beauty journey and a weightloss journey. I hopefully will be reviewing things that are related to either both or one of these things. I want to be able to share my insight but also my experiences with different products.

Some of the first things I will be talking about is the Curology program and my fitbit. The funcionality of each and how effectively they function for expected results.
I have become very invested in Asian Beauty Products, as they are generally more innovative in comparison to similarly priced western products. I will start reviewing these items as well. I have become obssessed with sunscreen, as it is the essential antiaging product, and will be looking at a large variety in the coming months. Sunscreen is not just for the summer months.

I look forward to rebuilding my relationship with everyone in the blogging community. I've missed this environment incredibly.

Until Next Time;

Emergency and Camping Flashlight and Lamp!! What a name

Hello Everyone,
I have also posted a review for this item on Amazon. Check it out here
I really loved the emergency camping flashlight and lamp I received over the weekend. It is light weight and is not only a solar powered light source but also a potential battery back up for your phone! If you want to charge it ahead of use, you can use the included usb charging cable.
This item is super easy to use and as hurricane weather comes to head in South Florida it is becoming increasingly more important to have supplies already purchased.
I have used this while hanging out with friends in a dark backyard and can say it does a reasonably good job of illuminating the area. Definitely would recommend, especially for it's current price.

Again, its super cute and folds up into a very convenient 2" tall form factor!
The Solar Light can also be found at http://thebrightoutdoors.com which is the companies web page! Amazon prime shipping is always awesome too :)

There isn't a whole lot more to say on this item because I have not been able to completely run down its battery to know how long it lasts.

Until Next Time,
Glitterpukee

Urban Decay B6 Complexion Prep Spray

Hello lovelies!!

Welcome back, I hope you had a wonderful week. Today I am going to be talking about a product that has been out forever but I recently rediscovered my love for it. The Urban Decay B6 Complexion Prep Spray has been sitting on my vanity for five-ever, but I recently started using it not only before my foundation but on my beauty blender type sponge to moisten it before buffing out any streaks. It makes this super easy to do without removing half of my foundation trying to achieve a flawless finish. The spray is super refreshing and makes my skin feel so much better. I generally dampen my entire face with the spray, let it dry most of the way then start my foundation routine. If parts of my face seem to dry, I just spray a little more.

Just like all the previous Urban Decay skin sprays this product was designed and manufactured in conjunction with the brand Skindinavia. They are one of the first companies to really capitalize on high quality facial and makeup setting sprays. Their basic makeup setting spray is amazing and you can count on the same amazing performance and quality in all of their collaborations with Urban Decay.

B6 in color

As Per Urban Decay:
Give your skin a quick hit of vitamins and calm a multitude of sins. Stabilized vitamin B6 absorbs oil, minimizes pores and reduces redness. Give your skin a quick hit of vitamins and calm a multitude of sins. Stabilized vitamin B6 absorbs oil, minimizes pores and reduces redness.

It’s one of those products you didn’t even know you needed. (But once you try it, you’ll wonder how you ever survived without it!)

This scientifically advanced formula contains the first patented, stabilized form of topical vitamin B6, which absorbs oil, minimizes pores and reduces redness. Spritz it on any time of day to hydrate, prep and soften your skin with vitamins and antioxidants. Use it in the morning to prep and “wake up” your skin, during the day to refresh your skin (without messing up your makeup), or at night before your treatment.
Vitamin B6 helps normalize overactive cell-signaling proteins (called cytokines) to help control oil production, vitamin E provides antioxidants, and willow bark (rich in natural salicylic acid) aids cell turnover.

This energizing formula feels amazing and is great for ALL ages and skin types. (Trust us, even your boyfriend will want to steal it!) And the more you use it, the better the results. In a clinical study, after 8 weeks of use:
• Over 81% of participants had a measurable reduction in oil and surface shine.
• Over 78% had more radiant skin with less redness and fewer blemishes.
• A majority of participants had a measurable improvement in pore size.
• Over 72% had a measurable improvement in their skin’s overall appearance.

While I don't know who did their clinical trials, I do agree with all of their claims... Except maybe the about fewer blemishes. My blemishes are never affected by anything beyond acne treatments and regular cleansing, while it would be awesome if this product did live up to this claim I personally did not see these results.
All opinions expressed are my own, I have no affiliation with this company as of now and I purchased this product with my own money. I am not being paid to say nice things, and if I am compensated in any way it will be noted. All photos were taken from the brands official website unless otherwise noted.

All in all, if you are looking for an easy to use priming spray type product Urban Decay B6 is quite wonderful. My only words of caution would be that due to the microfine mist this spray produces, don't accidentally inhale it!

Until Next Time,

Knot Genie, the brush I didn't buy for me

Hello Lovelies! Hope these past few days were wonderful!

I would like to introduce a product that I am so totally late on reviewing it is a little bit embarrassing. The Knot Genie as well as its competitor the Tangle Teaser came out a few years back and I just never got around to picking one up. I have medium weight, thick slightly wavy hair and before I started dying my hair more I never really thought about what I was putting on my hair. My hair rarely tangled if at all and anything more than some hand combing was for the luxury of it. But, as I have tortured my hair over the past few years I have found that what I brush my hair with matters more and more.
Until Next Time,
Glitterpukee!!!!

I purchased the original Knot Genie about a year ago as a gift for my little sister. She has the curliest hair in the world and probably close to being the thickest, when we dyed her hair black it took four ((4)) boxes of hair dye to cover from root to tip!! Well, at some point she became disenchanted with the Knot Genie and I picked up, I have been loving it ever since. The bristles gently massage my scalp, and they rarely have any issues with the tangles in my hair. I love how cute it is in my beauty area , I own the original purple color so its perfect! The ease of use has me picking it up again and again. The bristles do bend a little if stored improperly so keep that in mind. They retail for $19.99 on their website but it is possible to find them discounted on amazon and other e-tailers. I do NOT endorse purchasing knockoffs.
Knot Genie - KnotGenie
 - 11 As per the Knot Genie site:
Magically gets rid of knots. Not to mention complaining.
The Knot Genie™ Detangling Brush was created for every mom that has endured the foot stomping and screaming matches that come with brushing their child's hair. With the Knot Genie, even the curliest, most knotted up hair practically slips through the unique bristle configuration – gently and painlessly. Try the Knot Genie on your kids (or on yourself) – you'll be amazed by the ease of brushing, as well as how it virtually stops breakage and split ends. You've wished for hair brushing standoffs to end. Wish granted.
MORE DETAILS
To wrap things up, I cannot say enough how much I enjoy using this brush. Sometimes if I am really stressed I will brush my hair with it just for the gentle scalp massage to help dissipate some of the tension. I would definitely recommend this brush to anyone with unruly hair or just wants a cute brush that won't torture their already chemically treated, and in some cases mistreated, hair. Check Knot Genie out and let me know what you think of their products if you have tried them before below in the comments.
