Perlier Volcanic Thermal Scrub

Hey everyone~!

I have posted about the Italian brand Perlier before, and here they are again. Perlier on HSN has sent me the Volcanic Thermal Scrub via iFabbo!

I have used at least a hundred different scrubs in my life... if not more. But, this one was special. It was not oil based, but instead the exfoliating particles were suspended in a gel like substance. It did not foam up, even though I thought it could be a possibility. The size of particle varies greatly, there are fine powders and coarser granules mixed together, definitely something that would set a scrub apart from the rest. For the most part, scrubs contain a particular size of grit and attempt to stay consistent. 

The actual experience was pretty nice, the scrub did not feel super heavy or leave a film on my skin after I had rinsed it off. I feel that this part of the reason many beauty lovers are turned off from scrubs. When you have to work extra in order to feel clean after taking a shower it is not the best feeling. The light gel left my skin feeling clean, smooth and moisturized. 

There is a light clean scent to the scrub, this makes it easy to convince "manly" men (I say this mostly as a poke at my friends who don't like to use flowery scented scrubs but still want to feel smooth) to use a scrub. I personally like the slightly more clean scent to some of the heavy syrupy fragrances I have experienced in the past. It is fresh, clean, and reminds me greatly of the perfume line "Clean". Almost like a unisex deodorant soap. I enjoy it greatly :) 

Overall, I think this is a really great product. According to the HSN website here are the benefits of this product;

• Complex of key ingredients contains water from the hot spring concession located in the municipality of Abana Terme (Padua)
• Helps optimize skin's elasticity for a more youthful appearance
• Helps combat visible signs of aging such as the appearance of dull-looking skin
• Formulated with key ingredients that are rich in mineral salts
• Contains minerals of different particle size for dual rejuvenating and smoothing beauty action
• Finer powders smooth skin and rough area 
• Helps leave skin soft and velvety 

That seems a bit of an overstatement in my opinion, but not all benefits will be apparent at the first few uses so they might be more visible after a few more regular uses. 

Overall, I would definitely recommend this scrub, on its own it goes for about $25USD which is not terrible. I would not say that it is the best scrub I have ever used, but it does deserve a place in my top 15 list.

Slanted Soft Touch Tweezer from Slice: Review

                 Todays review is a tweezer... now, I know what you are thinking.

Aren't all tweezers the same... A tweezer is a tweezer right??

NOO!!!!! oh gosh no!!

I wish that every tweezer I have purchased had been as great as this one is

Pros--

Ergonomic shape makes it super easy to use

It makes taking out everything from the tiniest eyebrow hairs to annoying splinters a breeze

Fits comfortably in hand 

Finish gives good grip for fingers, amazing grip on whatever you are trying to remove

Cute. I love the red, wish it came in more colors. Like green, purple, orange etc. It would make the product more appealing to everyone. What if someone doesn't like red?

There isn't a ton someone can say about a tweezer. I do agree with the claims made on the site. I will copy and paste them below directly. I will also include their official photos.

Isn't it pretty?? 

I wish that I could suggest places to purchase this wonderful tweezer. But I haven't a clue where they are sold outside of the online realm. They run for about $19.99 of what I have seen.  I would defintely suggest these to anyone looking for an alternative to a Tweezerman tweezer. I love my Tweezerman tweezers but this one is just as good.

The company has a wonderfully whimsical way of designing their products. The packaging is elegant and the scents are wonderful. They are classic yet young and fresh. The boxes were so lovely that I was sad to see it in the recycling bin next to packing material and cereal cartons. The actual bottles so to speak are also wonderfully designed. The fresh scent of the Lemon Gardenia mini cologne lingered on my skin for the entire day. Whenever I needed to escape the day I would sniff my wrist for a brief escape. The Bergamot Vert AHA body lotion left my skin super soft. I used it for a few weeks and my skin has only been softer when I use straight up oils on my skin. (If you are new around here.. I have a slight obsession with the concept of the purer the product the better. What is more pure than oil?)  There is not a lot I can say about these seeing as you have to experience them to understand how outstanding they are. The two scents are great for layering but are stronger than I had expected them to be. Anyhow. I am going to include photos of the external packaging as well as the actual bottles themselves. I love how kitschy cool they are.

Review: Darcy's Botanicals

They have the most amazing bogy oils ever!!!
Everything I tried smelled absolutely amazing. ( I received two body oils and a hair masque from the company to write my review on) 
My skin and hair was left crazy soft and smelling fresh. 


The body oils are amazing. I choose Apricot and Cacao bean scented ones. The main difference between the two was packaging. The Apricot one came in a spray pump bottle. It made usage a breeze. No worries about the top leaking, it would be under a cap, and no worries about oil residue getting all over my bag when I throw it in carelessly (because I tend to do silly things like that when I am at the beach or on the go). The shape is more convenient simply due to the fact that I can get more *flat* items into a bag in comparison to *round* items. 
They leave my skin super soft, hair shiny and nails happy (desperate times call for desperate measures). I love that they are super multi-use and would suggest them to anyone who tends to get dry midday or would like an easy scent boost at the same time. They impart a sexy sheen and leave a wonderful scent that not only lasts all day but isn't too *In your face* and doesn't usually knock people out. Unless of course we are talking about the good way :D
I love both scents! Apricot (of which I do not relish eating it's namesake fruit) smells just like a freshly bitten ...well Apricot. It is super realistic and I feel that this is partially because of the base oil is Apricot Kernel. 
Cacao smells wonderful as well, I love chocolate and this smells exactly like a chocolate bar (kind of). It has a CACAO BEAN in the BOTTLE!!! Soo cool!!! I did not expect that what so ever. I love the true-ness of scent in both of these oils.


The deep hair masque smells just as wonderful. The instructions say you should leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse it out. Welllllll... I forgot it was in my hair, I was reading a great book, so I ended up keeping it in for about an hour. It was easy to rinse out and left my hair CRAZY soft. I used about a tablespoon? and I think I will be using it forever! I will be repurchasing when I run out because for the price I have yet to find a deep conditioning masque that leaves my hair quite so soft. I do love one of the ones yet to be reviewed (It is coming soon.. promise!) and will probably be repurchasing it as well.
I love all three of the products I received and would recommend them to anyone with any hair type. Amazing products hands down.
