Life Updates

Hello everyone,

It has been more than a hot second since I last posted. My personal life has been a mess but I really am trying to get back into blogging because writting is therapeutic.
I'm embarking both a beauty journey and a weightloss journey. I hopefully will be reviewing things that are related to either both or one of these things. I want to be able to share my insight but also my experiences with different products.

Some of the first things I will be talking about is the Curology program and my fitbit. The funcionality of each and how effectively they function for expected results.
I have become very invested in Asian Beauty Products, as they are generally more innovative in comparison to similarly priced western products. I will start reviewing these items as well. I have become obssessed with sunscreen, as it is the essential antiaging product, and will be looking at a large variety in the coming months. Sunscreen is not just for the summer months.

I look forward to rebuilding my relationship with everyone in the blogging community. I've missed this environment incredibly.

Until Next Time;

Hydroxatone BB Cream!

Hey everyone!
Yes,

I am hammering these out. I feel so silly for taking a break from writing. It is so nice to be doing things that feel productive other than attempting to pack for moving away. I don't want to move. I cannot figure out how to condense all my makeup stuff into a small enough space that I will be able to fit it into a dorm? O.o

    Anyhow, Innovative products! I love them. Ifabbo really knows how to pick them too! I love this BB cream and I have been yearning for a full sized tube of my very own for a long time now.
Hydroxatone BB cream in Medium/ Light is pretty awesome. It has an of SPF 45 and a goes on smoothly! I love how it feels and it does not dry to a powdery finish like most BB creams I have tried. Score one for Hydroxatone!

Re: Frugal Midwest's cry for help: Humidity hates my makeup D:

Hello Patty,
I live in Florida. Miami to boot. So I know the worst (And I Mean the WORST) of  worst humidity wise.
Generally I do not wear a lot of makeup in the summer. Going to the beach, going running, hanging out with friends, going to the pool generally are not makeup occasions in my book but instead sunscreen days.
However, there are loads of great brands that have put out 24 hour or waterproof formulations.
Amazing cosmetics amazing concealer is a Waterproof albeit pricey option the .2oz tube pictured is $28 at sephora. http://www.sephora.com/amazing-concealer-to-go-P208606

Buxom WaterProof Smoky Eye Stick is just plain awesome. Great color selection and 3 in one capabilities it can be used as a super pigmented shadow, smokey or liner because it has a handy sharpener at the bottom. (Can tell I used this before XD) It is $19 and will last forever. But the price might not be all that awesome if you want every color. I will be honest. I can't afford even one atm. Worried about paying for CLEP exams lol

A ton of companies have waterproof formulas. Just google Waterproof cosmetics. or search on Total Beauty .. (I LOVE TOTAL BEAUTY!!)

Look into some sealing facial mists and opt for either a BB (beauty or blemish balm) as well as tinted moisturizers. They tend to hold up better in the heat because they are not as highly pigmented. Another product that is starting to become popular is the tinted sunscreen.

A sealing facial mist that I will get to review soon and have heard amazing things about is .. Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray. I also like ELF cosmetics Mist and Set from their site;
Wish you could have a product for your makeup like Hairspray is for your hair? Wellkeep your makeup staying in place all day with a radiance boosting invisible hold with our new Makeup Mist & Set. The invigorating mist moisturizes and soothes the skin with key ingredients Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C & E. The lightweight, comfortable and alcohol free formula improves makeup wearability and prevents color from running or fading.

It is only $3
They also have a new one from the mineral line that is not sealing but revitalizing. It is a bit pricier at $8 but boasts lots of great ingredients.
From their site:

e.l.f. Mineral Revitalizing Mist

Replenish and boost your skin with the revitalizing Mineral Mist. This unique blend of Witch Hazel, Rosemary, Chamomile, Honeysuckle, Aloe and Vitamin B work together to balance and enhance the skin, leaving you looking energized and renewed. These nourishing key ingredients keep your complexion radiant, brighter and provides instant moisture to smooth and boost skin circulation for a firmer more youthful glow. The lightweight and invigorating mist leaves skin feeling revived and restored, perfect for the gym, office or after travel to rehydrate dry skin or to refresh makeup throughout the day.

BB creams are a big deal right now. I have not had the chance to try one.. **HEAR THAT REVIEWING GODS!!! I WANNA REVIEW ONE** XD Seriously, if you know some good ones post below. Their benefits are being sung from the heavens and I would love to know what you guys think. Smashbox has a great one that everyone is talking about, as well as Garnier Fructis.  Clinique also has a BB creme. I love clinique but theirs is about $37. I will have to go and check it out in store soon so I can tell you guys what I think of it. If you are feeling gutsy it is available at any clinique counter now ;D

I love Laura Mercier's Tinted moisturizers in both oil free and regular!! The have the perfect amount of coverage for me. (have you seen photos of my skin on here? I don't wear makeup in them>..<)  They do run for $42 so I have not had the chance to buy myself a full sized one. Got lucky and found a mini in a Sephora Faves Box.  I wear Bisque or Natural.  According to the site:
This sheer, lightweight formula moisturizes the skin softening fine, dry lines, while adding a smooth, healthy glow to your complexion leaving a natural, dewy finish. Providing broad spectrum SPF 20 UVA/UVB sunscreen protection from the harmful, damaging rays of the sun, Tinted Moisturizer features an antioxidant vitamin complex that acts a free radical scavenger to protect the skin from even the most aggressive effects of the environment. Perfect for all skin types, Tinted Moisturizer is extremely long-wearing and remains colour true.
The only Tinted Sunscreen I have heard of is from CoTZ. But tons of companies are sprouting up with their own versions. This is another uncharted territory. But I love the idea. Who needs more than one face product during the summer anyways?? face wash, serum and moisturizer are a duh but foundation shouldn't be a must in the heat of summer.

I hope this was helpful :D
I will be posting more about sunscreen and summer products in the next few weeks including two different kinds of self tanner. (one smells like chocolate Puddin :DDD) and a few more sunscreens

Until Next Time,
GLITTERPUKEE!!!!!!!!!!!! <3
