Auric Blends Review and Giveaway!!!

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!
        I am so excited to share a wonderful company with everyone! Auric Blends has a variety of products to offer. They have incense, perfume oils, perfume solids and other products that they resell!
        I chose to receive a few perfume oils and a perfume solid. The perfume oils I received were Night Queen, Love and Water Goddess. They retail for $7.50 a roller ball and they also offer sampler packs so you can try out fragrances without committing to an entire roller ball. 
The roller balls are convenient, easy to use and make it so you don't waste perfume on the air!
The scent gently wears throughout the day so you do not get knocked out by the scent in the morning nor feel naked (without scent that is!) by the end of the day. The perfumes are all natural and made with even more natural oils so they are good for your skin and your nose :) !
I loved the way Love and Water Goddess smelled even though they were not the ones I picked out!! 
     I chose Night Queen because I am a bit on the dorky side and my Boyfriend wears Night King sometimes so.. yea.. my inexcusable "cuteness" made me do it!

Love was the prettiest in my opinion because it had a special label!! 

 

Isn't it cute??? I wish they all came like this to be completely frank. I love how clean and upscale it looks! 

The description? A touch of our Egyptian Goddess combined with white amber, white musk and woods. so... what does egyptian goddess smell like?? Seductive and soft, this fragrance blends musk with soft floral notes and powder.  Sounds and smells like love to me :)
This honestly was my favorite of the three. I loved how soft and feminine it was without ever getting heavy and cloying. 

Water Goddess. (I am going by order of my favoriteness!!) 

A magnolia floral bouquet with touches of rose and violet, supported by a background of exotic woods and mosses.  To me it smells fresh, floral and beautiful! This is the one I get the most compliments on when I wear it! I love how easy it is to wear as well.

I don't hate it. I think the image is beautiful. But I really do love the look of the special label bottles. But hey! I don't care!! No one is inspecting the bottles in my purse as far as I know!
My least favorite (BUT STILL AMAZING!! ) was Night Queen. And I looked at the notes.. thought I knew what I was choosing.. But I didn't LOL

The notes are as follows. Creamy vanilla, sandalwood and white musk meet the dominant notes of sparkling citrus nuances and white florals. I love the sound of it but I forgot that sandalwood is a strong note no matter what it is accompanied by. It is fresh and clean but a bit too "clean" for my taste. 

Fragrance is personal. But Auric Blends makes it super easy to find a personal fave!! I did not receive a sampler pack (Hope I can get one in the future!) But the deal is awesome! $11 for 6 samples or $9 for 4. They come pre designed in packs of either best sellers, florals, combo, oriental etc. I love the idea!! 




The other AWESOME item I recieved from them was the Starr Jasmine sold perfume. I did not know I LOVE JASMINE SO MUCH until I opened up this beautiful stone solid perfume! I had seen similar products at the new age shop I sometimes stop by near my school. But, the scent of new age is INTENSE! So I had never really had the chance to smell them on their own. 
Starr Jasmine is light, fresh and feminine. It smells like night blooming jasmine in the summer time (one of my favorite things about where I live!! We have one somewhere on the block!) and makes me feel pretty. Yes, fragrance can influence your self confidence!!
I love love love the scent! But, it is no where near as portable as the roller balls. Instead this is something that is pretty and should live on your night stand :)

Northern Star Polish

Hello everyone!!!

Today's swatches are sponsored by the amazingly talented Northern Star Polish!!! She sent me four polishes for me to swatch for you guys and a mini cuticle oil that smells amazing!!!!

To start off, the minis are 9ML!! That is so awesome because they are not as itty bitty as normal mini polishes. They have enough for a good number of wears, not just two or three like the all of the other indie ones. Which is perfect if you don't want or cannot rationalize a whole full sized bottle, but you know that you will want to wear it for  more than one or two times. The formulas were all awesome. They applied evenly and easily. I loved the colors and combinations that each had. I swatched all but Wuv, too Wuv over OPI's Skull and Glossbones because it is a great medium tone neutral gray that makes the glitters pop!

Kismets Kiss is an awesome glitter topcoat that has red micro glitter, small red and pink hexes, silver holo diamonds and grey and light pink hearts. It is beautiful on the nails but you do have to fish around for the hearts and diamonds. I think this polish would actually be easier to manage in a mini than a full sized like I recieved. I had to reallly roll the polish in my palms, Northern Polish uses Zilla beads a very large size stainless steel bead that could potentially shatter the bottle if shaken too violently. For future reference she includes three in each bottle, both mini and full sized. The beads help to kick up the sunken glitters effectively. Avoid storing this polish on its side or all the hearts and diamonds will get stuck to the walls of the glass. 













I used the school glue technique so as to avoid having to deal with polish remover this time around!! Polish remover makes my cuticles all dry and yucky so I avoid it as much as possible. I also have been working in the Photography darkroom. Yay! More chemicals to wreak havoc on my hands..


Antares is a super pretty top coat polish that could hypothetically be worn on its own. It has blue green micro hexes, red and white medium sized hexes and large red star glitters. I love how it looks and the stars came out on their own with not too much fishing. If that isn't a win than I don't know what is! It applied evenly but was a bit thick because of how much glitter was packed into it. It was not a super "hungry" glitter but a few coats of top coat made it super slick and shiny. 










Wuv, Too Wuv

This honestly was my favorite of the four. It contains hot pink and silver mirco glitters, silver hexes, red medium hexes,  pink and silver larger hexes. It applied beautifully, had a great jelly to it (I am wearing two coats here over a slightly tinted base coat) and the glitters were well distributed. I wanted to wear this color as long as possible so I could not do the school glue trick. The consistency  was relatively thin but not watery. I like a thinner polish so this was perfect for me. No major issues with having to fish around for the larger hexes either. If I could have chosen just one polish to receive in full sized it would have been this one! 









Day Dream is a sheer purple jelly, VERY SHEER, that has purple and blue matte small square glitters, medium gold hexes and large blue matte square glitters. It applies well but the large blue squares are hard to get on the brush. I love it over Skull and Glossbones. 





Overall I loved these polishes. If I ever get the chance I would LOVE to get to work with Northern Star Polish again. I will link her information below.

Jindie Nails Polish the last of girly winter!

I love these polishes but I lost these photos!!!!!  I am sorry my lovely ladies... and even more so. My deepest apologies to Jindie for not having my act together :(
So late as anything... and so long afterdue...  Here are Honey Blue Blue and Burr Berry!!!


Burry Berry up first!!
A beautiful white crelly with a mix of blue, pink and purple hexes with big light blue holo hexes!!!
Applied beautifully and no fishing was necessary!  I loved the wear on this polish to peices. I did have a slight issue with the big hexes not being completely embedded.. but that was because my nails are wayyy tooo curved :( 








Now for Honey Blue Blue!!! Amazing application!!! And I love the base color, a creamy light blue green crelly with green, blue and aqua hexes of different sizes. No overly large hexes to flake off my nails either!! Polish love!












I love both of these polishes to death and have actually worn them three times each since I received the bottles...  oopsie!
