Eylure false lashes review/demo

This post is about the awesome false eyelashes Eylure makes.I was sent two of their new line Naturalites to test out. One is called Superfull and the other Natural Volume. In my photo review/demo thing. I love that these eyelashes are soft, feather light and fairly easy to apply. The fact that they weigh so little actually threw me off a bit. I am used to applying fairly heavy false eyelashes for runway shows (Not me modeling but doing the makeup) when I was in a design highschool. So barely feeling the weight in my hand was strange. I had a harder time than normal applying these lashes because of it. Old habits dye hard they say.

 The wonderful visual instructions that come on the back of the package. I love that they help in visualizing how applying false eyelashes should work.

Contents of the package. Not only does each one include its own little tube of great glue, but it has this neat little application system that makes not globbing on wayy too much eyelash glue a breeze. I also love that it is not a squeeze tube or a one time use packette.  There is a small angled stick inside that is your applicator. Scroll down to see photos of it :)

The photo below if of my natural eye lash. If you check out my last post about eyelash tinting you can tell that my skin definitely has improved due to a skin peel I recently did. That is for a later post however.

My right eye has the lashes on and my left is my natural lashes. I love that I was able to wear the lashes all day without them coming detached from my eyelid or feeling heavy. I would recommend these lashes who want a natural looking eye boost :) They are pretty, natural (ish) looking and make the eyes look bigger and brighter without the weight of a heavy fuller lash.

And so far I do agree with above statement. It is a GREAT deal for 25 applications!
So, the first thing I need to say it DO THAT PATCH TEST!!!!!!! OMGOMGOMG if you do not do it you put YOUR EYES at risk. Not your scalp. Or your skin. YOUR EYES!!!!!!!! Please be safe. Do not just do things without doing the prep that is necessary. I warned you. Please do not go blind because I recommend this product and you do not follow the instructions properly.
Any who. This kit left me with longer more luscious looking eyelashes that are darker and longer *looking* than ever before. I love how they look naturally amazing. Not like I am wearing mascara. But like I was blessed with absolutely gorgeous eyelashes... score!!!
The first photo is a before. But my eyelashes are fairly long/dark to begin with

First eye I used the eye shield, to be frank, it irritated my eye more than anything. I doubt anyone else will have this issue. I am just an oddball who was confident enough in my skillz to try something stupid. (Read: STUPID as in.. don't do this at home kids*)
This product does not leave you with perfect eyelashes that never need to see a mascara wand again. It leaves you with lashes that are naturally gorgeous. As you can tell from my photo the right eye has been treated and the left has not been (as you see them, not as they sit in my face). It looks like I have really pretty lashes. That's all :)
The photo below is of my other eye with the product on it. I have brushed it on with the bristle-less applicator brush and this is what I ended up with. Sans eye shield. I kind of have a sad eye look going on.. and crazy spider lashes as well!This is the final results!!!

So sounds awesome already?? RIGHT??? I love these products. But most of all I love the shower gel.  I received Chick Of The Sea Foaming bath crystals, You Gotta Be Kitten Me shower gel that is pomegranate scented, I'm in heat Whisker Slickers a fun cinnamon flavored lip balm and Chocolate bath melts. 

 

 

I love pomegranate. So I went in to testing (and totally loving at first sniff) You Gotta Be Kitten Me shower gel. It leaves my skin soft, smooth and smelling amazing! The suds this shower gel produces are unbelievable. Just a bit on your shower pouf (or whatever you soap up with) and you have loads of fun bubbles ready to work hard to clean you off. It managed to break down even my most hardy waterproof sunscreen to leave my skin clean and fresh. I can't say anything more because all I will do is continue to repeat my praise for this awesome shower gel!

 

Now, Chick Of The Sea Foaming bath crystals. Chocolate, Raspberry and Mint scented I am mad that this was a one time use deal. I loved how it smelled and was sad to see it go down the drain. Left my skin soft and silky. I did not feel compelled to moisturize my skin afterwards..but I did because I always put on something otherwise my legs will crack up, wither, and roll away. (OK not really.. but it feels like that sometimes!!) I love the sardine can packaging and the cute designs that all of the HoneyCat products feature. 

The last two products were the ones that I was honestly least excited about. But I loved them anyhow! 

The lipbalm is actually slightly plumping due to the Cinnamon content. Cinnamon is a known irritant/plumping agent, because the whole lip plumping deal generally occurs through a process of creating a micro irritation on the surface of the lip causing the swelling. So, in the end I did like the I'm In Heat lipbalm. Just not too crazy about how I can SMELL my lips.. its a bit too strong for me. But if you love cinnamon indulge yourself. But for those who are turned away it is not a *light scent* in the least. 

The chocolate bath melts, of which have been revamped since the production of the product I received. Now they look like the image above. before they were poured into a gold square pallete of sorts that was divided into four sections. I love that you can use this MORE THAN ONCE! that makes me really happy seeing as I hate it when, like Chick of the Sea, a product is one time use. The bath water was smooth and smelled delectable! I actually gave one of the trays to my best friend, in the box of course, so she could try them too. She loved them as much as I did! 

Now, I know I am crazy, and I just met you, but Honeycat cosmetics, you have my number , so call me maybe????  XD

Sorry, I needed a random musical interliude. Put the words to the pop song that goes *Now, I just met you , and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me maybe!* LOL yea. Sand Gone: Review and Before&after

Hey everyone,

as you may or may not know I live in the sunny land of florida. *Where the orange blossoms grow**

**OHHHH>>WE are the children of FLORIDA F L O R I D A :DDD**

 So why is this important?? (besides the fact that this company is Floridian) Because despite the fact that some non-beach goers think that sand magically goes away once you step away from the beach. IT DOESN'T!!!! AGHHH!!!!
Sand on your skin is one of the most uncomfortable things on the planet. It gets all over the car. Makes in between your toes horrifically uncomfortable. And above all leaves a layer of dirt on your skin like no other.

The product 

Before ( my feet properly caked in wet sand.. LOTS OF IT!!!) I worked to get that sand on!! 

And after... about 5 minutes of medium effort.

 It is a bit messy. I had to be careful not to leave a slipping hazard seeing as the main components of this product are Starches. Vegetable and Fruit starches of undisclosed variety. So I assume there is more to this magic mix than cornstarch XD

Any who, my point being, This stuff works!! Even on wet caked on sand. I love that is smells fresh and coconutty (ALWAYS A PLUS!)  It has fairly child friendly packaging. But I wouldn't let any sandy kids do this in the car. Then you would have sand AND veggie starches running amok. So keep the kids outside the car to do this. Maybe once you get away from the sand and don't plan on going back in for a while. There is a LARGE powder puff housed within the container which i greatly appreciate. My only *ehh* about it is that I wish there was a way to purchase more. That would be great! Then the dirty puff could be pulled out and washed while a clean one could be left in the container so you are never left without a puff. But overall this is an awesome product.

Not only do I love the concept and ease of use(I have two younger siblings plus the kids I babysit for) but I love that it is a local company!!

This is my review of the SwirlyDo from facial works

This is another fun hair accessory Swirly dos are made out of the same plastic coil that everyone used to put their keys on. Except now they come in colors that will match your hair, smaller overall diameter, and are being marketed as hair elastic/accessory thingies. That right there is some marketing GENIUS! So a big round of applause for the creators of SwirlyDo's for re-purposing an every day object (that didn't do that great of a job at what it was supposed to do) and make it AMAZING at that. 

  My mum says I should go walk over to the hardware store and get some cute colored ones. First thing you should know. The hardware store is more than an hours walk away. and two, The ones at the hardware store are double the size.. not helpful seeing as these are barely small enough to keep my medium length hair up in a bun.  These fit your wrist without having to stretch. These stretch quite a bit while on the wrist.

The SwirlyDo hair elastic thingies come in 5 or 8pks. I received a 5pk brown variety pack. It comes with a yellowy see-thru, two redish brown see-thrus and two opaque dark browns.

They are waterproof,virtually slip proof and don't leave ugly Pony lines. I HATE PONY LINES!! So with that logic I love these!!!

I have completely destroyed one of the red brown ones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As you can see the blonde one is the original size and the brownish red one is now very stretched out. It does not effect is usefulness seeing as I wrap it around my pony tail about 3 times to get it fully secure. And about the same for when I put my hair up in a bun.

I personally have adopted the SwirlyDo as my go to summer hair accessory. Although not as cute on my wrist it does have the plus on not slipping out of my hair until I pull it out (gently of course)

How I rock my Emi-Jay Elasticss :D

Today I am reviewing Em-Jay hair elastics. They are fun colored (I got the neon pack) These are fun, a bit silly and have a great story behind them. Some of my readers may or may not know but I am one of the younger review bloggers out there as I am under 20. But, I do know quite a few things about beauty, makeup, good quality products, and all in all teen style. 

These were created by two LA teens who wanted to share something fun and creative while giving back to their community.Their adorable epic style (as in the poem.. like the Odyssey or the Illiad. Not like OMGTHATSSOEPIC!! in teen speak XD) These hair elastics not only stay in my crazy slippery hair (which is something I am proud of) They are adorable as you go about your with them on your wrist as an accessory or just because you are waiting for the moment the summer heat becomes unbearable and it is time to slick back your hair into a pony.  I love that they do not leave pony lines (Similar to another fun hair accessory I will be reviewing sooner than later the Swirlydo) and have not faded despite my frequent escapades into the chlorine filled waters of my pool. Hey everyone,
I know I have been saying that I am a Fashion/beauty blogger. But I do not get the chance to review a whole lot of fashion type things. But, Today I have something more than just pretty. It has a beautiful cause behind it.  

      Zulugrass Jewelry has the goal of empowering the Maasai Women. They hand dye the grass beads in brilliant jewel colors. 5% of the proceeds directly benefit the women and their community. I love the look and feel of these multi-use single strands. I am a bit nervous about stretching them too far and having the beads fly everywhere. I tend to worry about bracelets dying on me like that. They are multi-use. Head band, bracelet, necklace, choker, hair elastic/tie, Waist *lace* (it gets shimmied down so that is floats around your waist above you hips .. this is for the skinny minis of the world!! I cannot imagine getting it to my waist and being comfortable like that).. These are a fun alternative to fancy jewelry. They do well during the day and night (I tested this claim at a friends party!) and I plan on using one of the four single strands as a friendship bracelet. :)  

    All in all these are a fun way to go about accessorizing. :D I LOVE THEM!! And I believe they are waterproof? At lease I forgot I was wearing one and ended up teaching swim lessons while wearing it. It was pretty much A ok. But, I would never risk my adorable bracelet/necklace strands like that one purpose. Definitely check these out!!! Look at mine here! 

 These are my GO TO accessory for the summer. I cannot imagine going to the beach without something fun on and these are just that!!! (Found out that they Water proof and color fast) so I am anxious to show off my Zulugrass singles on the by the water.

    They picked out one of each of Turquoise Gem, Lilac, Juicy Orange and Sunshine for me. Usually the strands come in two packs of closely colored strands.   As per their site description of the singles:

These are fun  summer accessories that I feel no guilt in reccomending. The are a bit of a splurge in my mind (as a teen with little income, I could buy two singles sets in one baby sitting job. But some of the other items on the site would require just a few more >..<). I know however that $20 is not as much to most people as it is to me. Hopefully when I get there I can spend some real money on all of the Zulugrass accessories I want!!!

Five finger Tees Honey Badger Shirt Review

I LOVE MY HONEY BADGER T SHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I just needed to get that out there. A good friend of mine calls me a honey badger because I am always getting mail. And finding the best deals. And getting the best freebies. But I explained to her that blogging is not getting freebies. I WORK for my products. I have to spend time using them. Thinking about them. Loving them. And finally, writing about them.In this case. I am writing about FIVE FINGER TEES.First, I love their name and emblem. The joke is the *Five finger discount* Aka theft. Now I do not promote theft, and I doubt this company does either. But obviously they have a great sense of humor.
All of their products are funny. None are offensive (At lease not REALLY offensive to the open minded) and are of great quality. The run of the mill Tshirts that they automatically come in are wonderful quality. They are soft. Feel  and fit wonderfully as well as being fairly light weight. I played DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) for about an hour and I did not sweat as much as I would have wearing a heavier weight shirt. 
The company obviously has their finger on the pulse of pop culture. My particular shirt is from the viral video The Honey Badger. The shirt says :Honey BadgerNoun: A nocturnal badger-like carnivore that doesn't give a shit.        I love pop culture.. if I had found a T-shirt that had Narwhals on it See the video here it would have been mine in a heartbeat. I love Love LOVE witty T-shirts. I love this one in particular because one of my closet friends calls me a honey badger. 

Overall this is now one of my favorite shirts. I have worn it like three times in one week!!! I even took the time to make sure it got in the wash right away >..<

Zinn Beauty Review

                     Zinn beauty is formulated in morroco and contains the only Morrocan Argan Oil directly imported from Morocco. I was sent their 100% pure Argan oil, Velvet Facial cleansing milk, revitalizing Anti-Aging creme, and Smooth Body milk.

 Now, I know that I am young.. and I don't need to be using anti-aging products. But I wanted to test it for myself, despite the fact that I could ask my mother or grandmother etc. to test it for me. I have found that many anti-aging product do not make a huge difference in my skin except keep me from getting sun freckles and keep it more moisturized than it normally would be. I also believe in preventative skin care. That means taking care of the issues before the become problems. So this is something that I was indefinitely interested in (especially the ARGAN OIL aspect of these products. I have been crazy curious about Argan oil and I finally was able to experience the wonders of this oil myself.)   

       I will be honest. I was a bit overly excited when I finally received the package from them. The products sounded amazing and the benefits of Argan Oil have been touted and tooted all over the internet for a few years. I was intrigued.

     The second I got the little boxes, which were all beautiful and ornate, I kind of savagely ripped out the Argan Oil. This 2oz bottle will hopefully last me a while. It is glass and has a beautiful ornate top to it. A pretty little orange tassel hangs off of it. You may want to remove the tassel because it does become a bit cumbersome at times. But it isn't a big deal. 

 In the mean time I have been putting my new found do everything product to good use. As a facial moisturizer, on my hair as a serum, on my knees and elbows to relieve dry itchy skin. 
Anything I could think of I used it for. Even for the heat rashes on the backs of my knees. It has been helping them heal much faster than had I left it well enough alone. However I am sure that if I had a prescription creme/lotion my healing would be done and over with.  

   I would say that argan oil has been the savior for my parched and sun beaten skin. Zinn beauty argan oil is the only one I have tried but in comparison to the MorrocanOil hair oil I think the pure stuff is more effective and nicer feeling.  I love the feel that the Velvet Facial Cleansing Milk leaves my skin with. Even before I apply moisturizer and I am sitting there with a spot treatment on my skin(for pimples...I am a acne faced teen sometimes) it feels silk smooth and not at all dry. As if I put on the lightest of moisturizers.  My skin has reacted wonderfully to the cleanser. I have not had any more breakouts than I usually do, despite the super moisturizing nature of the face wash.

      The body lotion is AWESOME!!! I cannot say that enough. I love that it felt nice on my skin, absorbed quickly and left a light clean scent that some people who have keen noses complimented me on how nice I smell. The Smooth Body milk leaves my skin smooth and comfortable. Unlike some other not so nice body lotions leave a layer of residue on my skin, or feel sticky after a few minutes. Not nice at all.I love my Smooth Body milk. I hope that the generously sized tube never runs out. 

The Revitalizing Anti-Aging creme left my face soft and moisturized. It helped to smooth of some of the roughness that was around my nose from when I was sick last. 

     I am in the midst of having my Grandmother test out the product. I had her try it while I was visiting her last weekend and she said she immediately  felt the difference. According to her, her skin felt firmer and smoother than her past face cremes. She loved the light citrusy fresh scent and how it left her skin feeling soft. And tighter? But not in a bad way. More attached to her face? I am not quite sure what she meant by that.  I will do an update post on my experience with Argan Oil as well as her experience with the Face Creme later on.

     Overall,  I would definitely suggest these products. I LOVE LOVE LOVE The argan oil and I will probably look into repurchasing when I run out of it.  Hope my review was helpful :)
