Knot Genie, the brush I didn't buy for me

I would like to introduce a product that I am so totally late on reviewing it is a little bit embarrassing. The Knot Genie as well as its competitor the Tangle Teaser came out a few years back and I just never got around to picking one up. I have medium weight, thick slightly wavy hair and before I started dying my hair more I never really thought about what I was putting on my hair. My hair rarely tangled if at all and anything more than some hand combing was for the luxury of it. But, as I have tortured my hair over the past few years I have found that what I brush my hair with matters more and more.

I purchased the original Knot Genie about a year ago as a gift for my little sister. She has the curliest hair in the world and probably close to being the thickest, when we dyed her hair black it took four ((4)) boxes of hair dye to cover from root to tip!! Well, at some point she became disenchanted with the Knot Genie and I picked up, I have been loving it ever since. The bristles gently massage my scalp, and they rarely have any issues with the tangles in my hair. I love how cute it is in my beauty area , I own the original purple color so its perfect! The ease of use has me picking it up again and again. The bristles do bend a little if stored improperly so keep that in mind. They retail for $19.99 on their website but it is possible to find them discounted on amazon and other e-tailers. I do NOT endorse purchasing knockoffs.

I would definitely recommend this brush to anyone with unruly hair or just wants a cute brush that won't torture their already chemically treated, and in some cases mistreated, hair. Hey Dude Shoes, Boy are these fantastic!

Hello everyone!!!

I have some of the coolest shoes ever as of two weeks ago. Hey Dude Shoes Vinci Oxfords in Charcol. They are military canvas and suede, super light weight, super cute and, oh yea. Made for men. But, Leah has huge feet, I clock in at a women's 10 and a Men's 8.5, and that means she can wear men's shoes. Does that have any advantage in day to day life? Other than the fact that I can steal my guy friend's shoes and wear them leaving my own ratty converse for them, not much.

But to be able to wear Hey Dude Shoes is totally awesome :D I LOVE THEM! They are so friggin cool! I was sent these for review, but gosh a backup pair would be nice. 

I wore them for three days straight while walking around my college's campus and let me tell you that these are the only dress shoes I have ever worn that are as squishy and comfy as running shoes ( I AM SO SERIOUS!). I love the light weight feel and easiness of wear with these shoes. 

The Oxfords had a proper inner arch to them and I never felt like they were really on my feet. They weight in at a little more than 6 ounces they are feather light. Here is what the company says on its site;

I have to say that they are the most amazing men's dress shoes I have ever been. Both men and women have run up to me wanting to know where they are from. Hear that Hey Dude Shoes? ALL my GIRL friends want them! I wish to be made aware the second the Women's line comes out, the smaller sizes of the Vinci would disappear in seconds!

I really cannot express how wonderful these are in words. The fit is great, despite being a man's shoe, the feeling when you step is unparalleled in Men or Women's dress shoes, the construction is superb and you can buy new insoles for only $7 so you can "recharge" the comfort of your shoes!












That is about it. I took at least another 20 photos of these shoes but decided that it would be just a little TOO MUCH to spam you guys with ALL of them. I will admit I am lusting after the new Vinci Neons hardcore. They are sooo pretty... and the new color of Vinci, Nut, is really gorgeous as well.

I a going to be doing a review of Unisqo lenses. They will be red and awesome :D

I also have to comment on the fact that when you go to sign up/register in their shop the automatic setting is that you are not signed up for emails! That is pretty darn nice of them to not take advantage of the fact that most people are a bit lazy and don't read everything in the form.

I also love that they have a comprehensive contact lens library. What does that mean? This means that they have almost all the information you could possibly need about circle lenses. All on their site!  

I cannot express how excited I am about getting these contacts :D It is going to be so cool finally having my costume all together!

This is a pretty unique product. It really does leave your skin COOLER than it started out. It smells AMAZING. I love lemony scents and this one takes the cake! It is sweet but still crisp; smells nothing like the household cleaners of yesteryear. If you have ever had a lemon italian ice it really smells the way that tastes!!! I love it!!!! 

The packaging is adorable! The green stripes are super cute and the aluminum bottle does not take away from its chic look. I love that the cap sits on the bottle SECURELY, so I do not have to worry about it becoming detached while it is in my beach bag. Everyone wants to know what perfume I am wearing when I have it on (the scent is pretty powerful so there is no point in wearing a different perfume; I like to wear ones that are floral with it when I feel like I MUST wear a separate perfume. 

The only thing I cannot say I love is the Price. It is however a LUXURY BRAND; Made in ITALY; the Body Water retails for $24.50 on HSN.  However, I do have to say that I have used it almost daily for the past few weeks and it only feels a tiny bit lighter. It could be an amazing buy if you like luxury products; amazing scents and a unique experience. I hope I don't use as much as I think I do! Because then I will have this bottle for the upcoming months! 

This is a really awesome product and I love that I was able to feature it thanks to Ifabbo :D 

I would recommend it to anyone who loves lemon :D

GOTOOB.. GO HUMANS GO!

So this is my review on the GoToob. And let me tell you. It is awesome. 

Seriously. I received the smallest size for review purposes. It has a fun squishy silicon body and a easy to use flip top. I love this bottle/tube because not only is it travel friendly but it is also beach bag friendly. Who has thrown a sunscreen into your bag only to find when you get to the beach that it has exploded… everywhere?? Well, I don’t know about you per say. But oh gosh, has it happened to me. I HATE it when that happens. Waterproof sunscreen is not an easy to clean item of off sunglasses, keys and cell phones (Hint: I keep mine in a zip baggie no matter if I plan on getting in the water or not. It can always rain…wet people can get too close to the bag and drip on it…water bottles tip over…soda bottles explode...you know the drill. What can go wrong will definitely go wrong. No matter how hard you try you just have to be prepared!) The small size of the Toob is definitely deceiving. I had one tube of sunscreen that exploded so an emergency transfusion had to be completed to save as much of it’s contents as possible. I would swear to high places that I managed to get a more than a WHOLE OUNCE of sunscreen into that itty bitty tube. It is insane! I did not expect to be able to save as much as I did. I give Gotoob props for that one.

Now, about their slogan; Go humans! GO!
I.            LOVE.      IT.
I have this  thing where whenever I see something about humans.. I have to have it.That T-shirt I got with an awesome stencil of a whale saying *save the humans* on it.
That poster that says *the next generation of humans may not be ready for what we are leaving them*. ETC. So, when I saw the tag line that said *GO HUMANS! GO!* I will admit it made me a bit excited.
It is talking about how we need to shed all the extra weight so we can get a move on already. I personally love the idea. You can order a 20 some odd ounce bottle of sunscreen and fill up a Gotoob with some of the crazy huge investment you just made. It allows for sunscreen application on the fly. The bottles have been heralded by flight attendants for their ability to not *POP* when the plane hit a crazy high altitude. Because if you are not yet aware, their luggage stays in a very different part of the plane than ours does.
 I would definitely suggest these bottles. I am also able to share one *1* small Gotoob with one of my followers. So sounds awesome already?? RIGHT??? I love these products. But most of all I love the shower gel.  I received Chick Of The Sea Foaming bath crystals, You Gotta Be Kitten Me shower gel that is pomegranate scented, I'm in heat Whisker Slickers a fun cinnamon flavored lip balm and Chocolate bath melts. 

 

 

I love pomegranate. So I went in to testing (and totally loving at first sniff) You Gotta Be Kitten Me shower gel. It leaves my skin soft, smooth and smelling amazing! The suds this shower gel produces are unbelievable. Just a bit on your shower pouf (or whatever you soap up with) and you have loads of fun bubbles ready to work hard to clean you off. It managed to break down even my most hardy waterproof sunscreen to leave my skin clean and fresh. I can't say anything more because all I will do is continue to repeat my praise for this awesome shower gel!

 

Now, Chick Of The Sea Foaming bath crystals. Chocolate, Raspberry and Mint scented I am mad that this was a one time use deal. I loved how it smelled and was sad to see it go down the drain. Left my skin soft and silky. I did not feel compelled to moisturize my skin afterwards..but I did because I always put on something otherwise my legs will crack up, wither, and roll away. (OK not really.. but it feels like that sometimes!!) I love the sardine can packaging and the cute designs that all of the HoneyCat products feature. 

The last two products were the ones that I was honestly least excited about. But I loved them anyhow! 

The lipbalm is actually slightly plumping due to the Cinnamon content. Cinnamon is a known irritant/plumping agent, because the whole lip plumping deal generally occurs through a process of creating a micro irritation on the surface of the lip causing the swelling. So, in the end I did like the I'm In Heat lipbalm. Just not too crazy about how I can SMELL my lips.. its a bit too strong for me. But if you love cinnamon indulge yourself. But for those who are turned away it is not a *light scent* in the least. 

The chocolate bath melts, of which have been revamped since the production of the product I received. Now they look like the image above. before they were poured into a gold square pallete of sorts that was divided into four sections. I love that you can use this MORE THAN ONCE! that makes me really happy seeing as I hate it when, like Chick of the Sea, a product is one time use. The bath water was smooth and smelled delectable! I actually gave one of the trays to my best friend, in the box of course, so she could try them too. She loved them as much as I did! 

Now, I know I am crazy, and I just met you, but Honeycat cosmetics, you have my number , so call me maybe????  XD

Sorry, I needed a random musical interliude. Put the words to the pop song that goes *Now, I just met you , and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me maybe!* LOL yea. Emi-Jay Hair elastics/ scruchies :)

How I rock my Emi-Jay Elasticss :D

Today I am reviewing Em-Jay hair elastics. They are fun colored (I got the neon pack) These are fun, a bit silly and have a great story behind them. Some of my readers may or may not know but I am one of the younger review bloggers out there as I am under 20. But, I do know quite a few things about beauty, makeup, good quality products, and all in all teen style. 

These were created by two LA teens who wanted to share something fun and creative while giving back to their community.Their adorable epic style (as in the poem.. like the Odyssey or the Illiad. Not like OMGTHATSSOEPIC!! in teen speak XD) These hair elastics not only stay in my crazy slippery hair (which is something I am proud of) They are adorable as you go about your with them on your wrist as an accessory or just because you are waiting for the moment the summer heat becomes unbearable and it is time to slick back your hair into a pony.  I love that they do not leave pony lines (Similar to another fun hair accessory I will be reviewing sooner than later the Swirlydo) and have not faded despite my frequent escapades into the chlorine filled waters of my pool. Zulugrass Jewelery: Review :)

I know I have been saying that I am a Fashion/beauty blogger. But I do not get the chance to review a whole lot of fashion type things. But, Today I have something more than just pretty. It has a beautiful cause behind it.

I love the look and feel of these multi-use single strands. I am a bit nervous about stretching them too far and having the beads fly everywhere. I tend to worry about bracelets dying on me like that. They are multi-use. Head band, bracelet, necklace, choker, hair elastic/tie, Waist *lace* (it gets shimmied down so that is floats around your waist above you hips .. this is for the skinny minis of the world!! I cannot imagine getting it to my waist and being comfortable like that).. These are a fun alternative to fancy jewelry. They do well during the day and night (I tested this claim at a friends party!) and I plan on using one of the four single strands as a friendship bracelet. :)  

    All in all these are a fun way to go about accessorizing. :D I LOVE THEM!! And I believe they are waterproof? At lease I forgot I was wearing one and ended up teaching swim lessons while wearing it. It was pretty much A ok. But, I would never risk my adorable bracelet/necklace strands like that one purpose. Definitely check these out!!! Look at mine here! 

 These are my GO TO accessory for the summer. I cannot imagine going to the beach without something fun on and these are just that!!! (Found out that they Water proof and color fast) so I am anxious to show off my Zulugrass singles on the by the water.

    They picked out one of each of Turquoise Gem, Lilac, Juicy Orange and Sunshine for me. Usually the strands come in two packs of closely colored strands.   As per their site description of the singles:

These are fun  summer accessories that I feel no guilt in reccomending. The are a bit of a splurge in my mind (as a teen with little income, I could buy two singles sets in one baby sitting job. But some of the other items on the site would require just a few more >..<). I know however that $20 is not as much to most people as it is to me. Hopefully when I get there I can spend some real money on all of the Zulugrass accessories I want!!!
