Review: Chopsaver

Hello everyone :D
This review is on a snazzy Lip product called Chopsaver. It was originally developed by professional trumpet player Dan Gosling. He had found that he was unimpressed by the quality of the lip balm type products on the market he decided to attempt to create his own.
As per the Chopsaver site:
ChopSaver - the ultimate all-natural solution for healthy lips! Invented by a professional trumpet player to address the lip care needs of brass and woodwind players, ChopSaver is now enjoyed by everyone. If you suffer from lips that are chapped, dry, swollen or irritated for any reason, look no further. ChopSaver lip balm is not just another "chapstick" - it is a comprehensive approach to total lip care.

The balm comes in either Original or Gold.
Their description and comparison of the two products (for I only received Gold to try out) will far exceed any attempt I might make so I will post it here.

ChopSaver Original and Chopsaver Gold with SPF [15] are two of the finest lip balm's on the market today. Originally created to help wind musicians with severe lip problems, it is now recommended by doctors for their patients who suffer from chronic chapped lips. ChopSaver Original is a 100% all natural lip therapy which combines the healing properties of herbs such as arnica, calendula, comfrey and white willow with nature's finest oils and moisturizers. Soothing emollients like shea butter, mango butter, avocado oil, apricot oil, grapeseed oil, aloe, Vitamin E and a light citrus fragrance complete the refreshing ChopSaver formula. For the outdoor enthusiast ChopSaver Gold adds the protection of SPF to the rejuvenating qualities of ChopSaver Original. Gold has all the same properties of our original plus two FDA approved sunscreens for outdoor protection. Both products have the same soft feel and same great fragrance! Try ChopSaver and see why it is being used by professional musicians and doctors. We know you'll be pleased with the results.

So, I guess I should tell you about my experience with the balm. First, when I get sick, as in horribly sick, my lips get uncontrollably chapped and uncomfortable. Now I cannot go about claiming that this is a miracle product, because it isn't. But I can say that it did help relieve some of my symptoms.

I am one of those people who sometimes look like they are wearing that (in opinion not so pretty) dark lip liner/light lipstick look when I get sick. It gets that bad. With the Gold balm I was able to eat salty (ish) foods and acidic things like tomato sauce without major discomfort. I think that for someone who is looking for an everyday lip balm ChopSaver is top notch. Do not expect a miracle product, because it does not suddenly heal your lips over night (NOTHING WILL...just putting it out there) But it will keep them from getting any worse.

I cannot wait to try this lip balm out during winter months, although I sincerely doubt that I will have anymore seeing as I find both the citrusy scent and the smooth texture wonderful this will probably be in one of my staple lip balms that live at the bottom of my purse.

You should totally check out their site  http://www.chopsaver.com/ and their Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/chopsaver Go like them to stay update on all that is Chopsaver.
I hope this review was helpful :)
