Whitening Lightning Teeth Whitening kit

Hey everyone!!!!

This is my review of Whitening Lightning teeth whitening kit :D It is called *Dial a Smile* because it comes with a wonder paper *dialer* that shows about 15 different shades teeth can be at. It helps to gauge how effective the kit was by helping you figure out your before and after shade :)

It uses a Peroxide gel and a blue LED light device.

It says it can lift teeth color from 4 to 7 shades.

What did it do? Exactly that.. My teeth are about 4 shades lighter than when I started. Photo before,

My teeth were not horrifically yellow or terribly stained. But I was about to go to a convention where I wanted to look my best (and that I did!)

I was about a shade Nine on their scale.. Not horrible.. but yellower than I would like. A perfect One would be awesome but I was not expecting a miracle! So, I tried out the products... I applied the Peroxide Gel with the silly little applicator brush. I will say that I did feel some immediate discomfort due to the gel. It made my teeth feel cold and odd. I think I lost a good portion of the gel as I fought my reflex to swallow. I turned on the light, stuck it in my mouth and sat watching TV with the sibs for the 20 minutes. At the end of a wonderful slobber session. (Yea.. its gross. Suck it up, its not that big of a deal and honestly, take one for the team. Who isn't willing to go through something uncomfortable for beauty?) As I sat with my handy dandy dish towel (to soak up the uncontrollable drool) I noticed that the LED gets a bit warm in your mouth. Not uncomfortable, just an odd realization.

I also noticed that I was not horribly uncomfortable with this blue device sticking out of my mouth. Not sensitivity at that moment or for the following days. I did take care to avoid dark staining foods for the better part of my first week. I think that doing so will really help extend the time between whitening sessions.

Here is their schpeal on how it works.. Directly from their site of course :D

It is great for anytime you have to apply gloss in either low light or mirrorless situations.

I got the pink one pictured!

Now, I cannot vouch for all of the lovely thing it says it will do. But I can say that it is an awesome gloss. I love it!

It does not run away from my lip area lip other glosses do. Feels like a smooth. No rough particles and the shimmer isn't overly dense. Its a great gloss all around. My only issue might be that i like a little more punch in my gloss. But you know me. Beauty junkie :D

Belly Rest (CHECK HER OUT!)

Hey everyone!!!
No, I am not pregnant. Or anything of the sort. Today I am here to help support an euntreprenuer who's only goal is to hep preggo mums all over the country sleep better. I will be posting her schpeal below :)

Pregnant women and maternity pillows probably aren’t the first things that come to mind when you’re on a blog like this that focuses on beauty… But pregnant women are gorgeous, right? That preggo glow is no joke!
Pregnant women are definitely a little more beautiful when they good night’s sleep, right? A few years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter, I had the “glow,” but I wasn’t sleeping well. I didn’t want to buy one of those huge maternity pillows that were the size of another person in my bed. I had to get creative and invented my own pillow. Then came the red tape.
I was ready to start selling my pillow on the internet when I found out that I’d have to have a pillow tag on it. Then I found out that 15 states require tags on pillows. And then I found out that I’d have to pay $4,660 in pillow tag registration fees before I could sell my pillow online! I cried for a whole day. I was so disappointed. I didn’t know what to do.
But then I got mad. I got so mad that I wrote a rap: a rap all about pillow tags and government red tape and pregnant women who needed my help. I recorded a music video with my pregnant mom-friends and launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise the money I need for the pillow tag registration fees.

So, if you have any preggo homies or know anyone who can appreciate a good rap about pillow tags, would you let them know? Every day I’m a little bit closer to my goal. Just two weeks left to go!
If I don’t hit the goal, I don’t get any of the money.
 Sleep well my friends!
Kerri Smith (a.k.a. Kdiggy)

About Kerri:
I’m a wife, mom, entrepreneur and songwriter.  When I’m not rapping about pillow tags, I’m spending time with my husband and almost two year old daughter.  We’re hoping for another little one soon. (Last time it took two years and a lot of fertility drug injection cycles, but it finally worked after having surgery for severe endometriosis.  That’s another story…)
I get more ideas than I know what to do with, and I’m finally starting to make some of them happen. It’s amazing to be doing what you were born to do.  Don’t let fear hold you back – go for it!

Del Sol Review

hey everyone!!
I got a bunch of fun nail polishes to review from Del Sol the other day.
Now, living in Miami people expect me to have my polish collection dripping with color changing polishes. But to be honest I have never tried them (except for that time, when I was 5...but that does not count!!)
The colors were wonderful. I would suggest them to anyone looking for a fun summer polish.
This is one coat of 5 of the 6 polishes I was sent (to my polish fiends... I apologize feverishly for the mess!!) The color not pictured is great for office to beach (if you can get there before the sun goes down) It starts off a beautiful beige nude and turns into a fun peachy pink.

two coats

Three coats no sun

Three coats

Inside three coats. no sun exposure what so ever.

The end result. I love the colors... (and the one not pictured.. sorry poor lonely color. I wish I had a sixth finger so I might have been able to swatch you with the others)
But, they are not super easy to apply. The shimmers are super sheer and are a bit of a pain to build up. As you can see in the last photo I still have a visible nail line. The glitters are wonderful. They did not bubble, were easy to remove (and any good glitter polish junkie knows that glitter is a pain to remove) and best of all were pretty darn opaque. The one picture above as silver but in the sun red goes very opaque!! and it looks ok with a VNL, I really love it.

I also received a set of color changing hair clips.. I do not have photos of my own to post.. but I will include the official ones from the site.

The clips are super fun!! They change color quickly, go brighter than pictured above and look beautiful in the sun and out.

Here is a quick bite from the Del Sol site about the company
About Del Sol
Headquartered in Sandy, Utah, Del Sol was established in 1994 and has since grown to more than
100 stores worldwide in 23 countries. Today it’s the world’s leading brand of color-changing apparel
and accessories and the number-one promoted merchant onboard Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Princess,
Disney, Celebrity, and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
We began selling our color-changing clothing and accessories out of a small retail cart in
Murray, Utah’s Fashion Place Mall, eventually spreading our concept throughout the United
States and Canada. After expanding our color-changing product line and fun-under-the-sun
experience, we took our products to the world’s most popular cruise ship ports, opening the first,
full Del Sol store in St. Thomas in 1997.
NASA explored earlier concepts of color change for its space program back in the ‘70s and ‘80s,
but Del Sol further developed and expanded this technology, engineering its own proprietary
Spectrachrome® color-changing crystals that are found in all Del Sol products today. Del Sol’s
color-changing crystals are harvested from the sunniest, most colorful places on the planet
and then engineered for use on nearly 10,000 color-changing retail items.
Much like a flower that blossoms in the sun’s rays, Del Sol’s exclusive Spectrachrome® crystals
open and unfold upon exposure to sunlight; revealing their hidden colors.
Jeff Pedersen, on behalf of Del Sol, is the winner of the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of
the Year Award in Retail, Utah’s Best of State Statue and medal, and is found on Inc. Magazine’s 500/
5000 fastest-growing businesses, along with Utah’s Top 100 Private Businesses.
Through humanitarian efforts, Del Sol has donated more than a million dollars worth of product and aid
to victims of the Haitian earthquake, the South East Asia Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina, as well as
hundreds of other projects around the world.

That is it :)

Trukid Happy Face and Body lotion/Sunny days spf30+ stick

Hey everyone... now this might be odd.. but this is technically a guest review..
My younger brother is 10 years old. He is entering 5th grade this year and is a bit crazy smart. He is also in the autism spectrum. Very high functioning at that, but he is there at the edge often identified as Aspergers.

Anyhow,
This is his review. I had him test the products. See how they felt on his skin. And then tell me how he felt about them. He did expect me to edit the videos... and I would. But I feel that the rawness is appropriate coming from a kid who will not put on sunscreen unless it is of a certain tactile feel. Or any other lotion type product for that matter.

I personally enjoyed the set up of the product. The lotion feels great and sinks in immediately. The sunscreen is a bit chalky in texture and did not apply as easily as Zack and  I would have liked to.
(Disclosure.. I bribed him with skittles to get him to test the products..he suggested the review by video of his own accord :D)
I love that it came with a reminder sheet on when to apply the two. It includes check boxes for *did you brush your teeth?*, *did you eat a healthy breakfast?*, *did you apply your Sunny Days spf 30+ for healthy skin* and so on. There is a morning and Night aspect due to the nature of sunscreen as well as teeth brushing. One does not need sunscreen at night. But you do need to brush your teeth when you wake up and go to bed.

Thats it... Hopefully the video will behave

Godefroy Hair dye pods

Hey everyone :DDD
This is a quickie review on the pretty darn awesome hair dye pods I requested from Godefroy for my mum.
The box comes with 4 capsules (the size of a normal pill capsule) and a bottle of activator. The capsules are filled with powder dye and you have to pour a quarter of the activator mixture into a non metallic bowl and then add one capsule.
I will be quite frank here. I did not expect a single capsule to contain or produce as much dye as it did.

The capsules... look how small!!!

Here is a photo in my dye mixing bowl (you can buy one from any beauty supply store for less than $4)
This is how much dye it ended up making.. enough to get my mum's three grey areas.. her temples and a little bit in the front. She HATES dying her hair because of the smell, the time and the mess. This was almost odorless. MAJOR PLUS!!!! I have never found a dye that is duo process with such low odor. My  Semi-Permanent dyes that I use in my hair for the crazy colors smell as much. And they aren't even permanent. It is insane! It is also low mess. The dye is thick and creamy. No drips managed to dive bomb our white bathroom carpet this time around. (our carpet is a veteran to the bleach bath due to hair dye accidents. Many of which were my fault -_-")
The time was not horrible. But I think that it is more the time spent with the dye in the hair, the fumes assaulting your nasal passages and making it hard to keep your eyes open is the problem. Not that you have to wait for 30minutes before rinsing it out.

The grays we tackled! It gave very good coverage and did not leave a huge stain. I do not have photos of the after... but the stubborn grays were reduced to a faint glimmer within the overall color of her hair.

A few final words.
Buy some gloves before you do the application... brown fingers are not cute.
Get yourself a non metallic bowl before you start. Do not be stingy with the dye. You get better coverage and better results when you use more dye. On the same note it should not be dripping off of your head.
A rag towel is always a good idea to protect your clothing, but you should still wear clothing you don't really care about. Same token as a painting shirt.
Last, I wish this came in lighter colors!!!!!!! Red, Blonde, Light Brown would be wonderful. But alas, we are stuck purchasing touch up kits off the shelves.
Ahywhooo....

Slanted Soft Touch Tweezer from Slice: Review

Hey everyone :DDD

(The word tweezer is totally messing with me right now... it does not look right.)
Todays review is a tweezer... now, I know what you are thinking.
Aren't all tweezers the same... A tweezer is a tweezer right??
NOO!!!!! oh gosh no!!
I wish that every tweezer I have purchased had been as great as this one is
Pros--
Ergonomic shape makes it super easy to use
It makes taking out everything from the tiniest eyebrow hairs to annoying splinters a breeze
Fits comfortably in hand
Finish gives good grip for fingers, amazing grip on whatever you are trying to remove
Cute. I love the red, wish it came in more colors. Like green, purple, orange etc. It would make the product more appealing to everyone. What if someone doesn't like red?
There isn't a ton someone can say about a tweezer. I do agree with the claims made on the site. I will copy and paste them below directly. I will also include their official photos.

What do you get when you combine the design skills of famed architect Michael Graves, two years of testing and development, and collaboration with top beauty professionals, stylists and estheticians? The result is a tweezer experience like you've never had before. Perfectly aligned, hand-filed slanted tips and a wide, comfortable rubberized red soft-touch grip for expert precision, every time.
- Perfectly aligned slanted edges
- Hand-filed precision tips
- Ideal for professional brow shaping
- Professional grade stainless steel
- Soft-touch red rubberized finish
- Wide comfort grip
- For home or salon
Also available in 100% stainless steel.
Designed for Slice by Michael Graves
Isn't it pretty??
I wish that I could suggest places to purchase this wonderful tweezer. But I haven't a clue where they are sold outside of the online realm. They run for about $19.99 of what I have seen.  I would defintely suggest these to anyone looking for an alternative to a Tweezerman tweezer. I love my Tweezerman tweezers but this one is just as good.

Soda Stream: Guestpost...Hungry Russian Wombat??

Heyyy everyone :D My sister is doing a guest post for me today. She ended up being the main user of the device so I figured that I would let her write about. That does make sense right???
I just wanted to do a quick update. I have a bunch of reviews comming up like always and even more GIVEAWAYS than normal. So be on the lookout and subscribe to this page. One upcoming is  NuNAAT that we will be doing a dual review on. I will review how it reacted on my straight hair and her super curly hair :D
So without further ado this is her review (un edited by me.. so please do not hold me accountable for her sillyness ;D)

Ok so this soda stream machine is fantastic, all I have to do is fill up the soda stream bottle with any water, attach it to the soda stream, turn it on and a minute later I have soda water or soda if you add the flavoring. There are even 0 calorie seltzer flavorings, I like the lemon the best its zingy and refreshing (and I’m drinking some as I type XD).
The soda stream makes VERY bubbly soda water so it stays fizzy longer, and the flavorings that were sent all taste like genuine soda when added to the carbonated water unlike some other products that end up tasting watery or just not right. (I’ve already ordered new bottles of the cola because it’s almost used up!)
Ok so you’re probably thinking, but the machine costs so much! Why would I buy this when I can get a can or bottle at the corner store. Well I like to be as eco friendly as possible and just think of all the plastic that doesn’t get wasted! That’s a bottle not- wasted in each use even if it ends up costing a little more in the end.  On the downside the soda stream makes a annoying grinding/buzzing sound when being used and it sounds like there’s something wrong so I freaked out the first couple times we used it.
I suggest the soda stream for all the college students and office workers who want to be able to have sodas on a whim without going to the store; you can keep the soda stream on the corner of a desk and the flavor syrups in a mini fridge so the only place you need to go is to fill the bottle with water. Saves time and helps you stay eco friendly, so you can be guilt free when you drink the diet cola in more way then one.

Ok, what do you guys think?
Personally I loved the soda stream. But I know that my Dad did not like that most of the syrups I received were not diet but partially. He did love the Cane Sweetened Cola because it is very similar to the Pepsi throwback products we have been purchasing.

I love the cane sweetened products as well. I was disappointed when the root beer was half cane sweetened half artificially sweetened. Overall it is a great product and allows you full control on how much sugar your kidlings are consuming.. they might even get so used to the lower levels of syrup that they might be confused when they get normal soda. My brother said what I was drinking one day tasted like I had left ice in my cup and let it melt.. oh well.

ANYHOWWW...
