Review: Sally Hansen Salon Effects

Hey everyone!
Another review here!!
This time it is Sally Hansen Salon Effects, and I know that there has been a lot of love/hate relationships with sticker/nail strip type manicures. But I wanted to share since I was sent it to review via Influenster. I love the concept, the excution however was not quite up to par with what I had hoped for. I have very slender nails, and the fact that the strips either completely covered both my nails or cuticles or bared covered half my nail was not a fun compromise. I felt that there were not enough choices in size for those of use with "smaller" nails.
I did however like the convenience of not having to wait for my nails to dry. Not have to wait till the NEXT day to stamp a zebra print design over my nails. Spend and  hour+ on my nails going through the various phases of base coat...wait....color...wait....color...wait....color..wait...top coat..wait forever just in case. I like the ease of use despite the fact that I messed up a few strips in the process. I would recommend this product but I think that it has a definite learning curve to it. And for me it seems to be a fairly steep one. I think that results will vary depending on the condition that your nails are currently in. All in all it is a fairly good product.

As per Influenster:

Where to Buy

What the package includes...

the different sizes of strips that are included in the pack.. to think that I needed most of mine to be between the sizes of the 5 before the last one to the right (not including my thumb of course!)

The strip engulfing my nail/cuticles...

Good thing it cleans up well!

Obvious gapping where the strip wasn't wide enough

Thanks for reading,
I hope this illustrated approach sits well with you guys, in this case I feel that pictures do speak for all the thousands of words I could write.

SHEERCOVER CONCEALER REVIEW

My Sheer Cover Concealer Experience :)

My Sheer Cover concealer came in Light medium and has been nothing but easy to use. I love that it has buildable coverage and never looks cakey. It also does not pull a disappearing act mid day which I love. So many of my concealers tend to run away mid day because of my teen-age skin that has a tendency to be a bit oilier than the adult skin most concealers are formulated for. I love the duo color that are MEANT to be mixed together to achieve the perfect match for your skin tone as well as adjust as the seasons change.  The consistency is great. It glides on effortlessly,  and does not make the uneven skin texture on my under eyes as obvious as some other concealers do as they wear. I would defintetly recommend this to anyone who has any sort of skin problems including sensitive skin. I am hesitant however to pitch this product due to relatively high cost. But I do enjoy the product, so if you have the money to spend go for it :)

As per the Influenster review page:

Review: Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair

Hey everyone,
I am part of a club of sorts called Vogue Influencers, through it I have been given the opportunities to review many different items that as a blogger I do not currently have stats good enough to contact the companies to review them.  Anyone can join.. so if you are interested go ahead on to *influencerlink*
and join :)
Any who,
this product is supposed to help repair damaged hair. What the site doesn't tell you is that it is scented  kind of like citronella. Not in a bad way, but if you do not like the scent of citronella you might want to reconsider your purchase of this product.

All in all it has a great feel to it. My hair frizzes up horribly the day after I wash it but with this product I was able to jump directly to *second day hair* which for me is when my hair starts to behave. I love the short length of my hair that at the moment allows me to wash and go. But sometimes that means that I don't take the time to properly style it. Not having to worry  about it is nice :)

Here is what their site says about the product::

Our daily leave-in treatment instantly repairs damaged hair by 26%*, helps protect from heat styling and detangles to help prevent further damage.

  • Certified organically-derived quinoa protein penetrates hair to instantly repair damage and strengthen from the inside out.
  • Wheat protein helps protect from heat styling—such as blow-drying and ironing.
  • Soy-derived oil detangles to help prevent further damage and breakage.
  • Certified organic essential oils including bergamot, mandarin and ylang ylang provide an uplifting aroma.
Pro tips from Antoinette Beenders, Aveda's global creative director and award-winning stylist:
  • Application is key. Use an amount about the size of a quarter for medium-length hair. Work it in your hands and apply it through damp hair.
  • To maximize results, focus on the most damaged areas and distribute the leave-in treatment evenly.
  • Don't rinse—because Daily Hair Repair is a leave-in treatment. It will give you a healthy foundation to style and finish with your favorite Aveda products.

For the most part I agree with these claims and I love the results so far. I will be posting updates as I use the product more.

I did receive this product for reviewing purposes however, all opinions represented are my own. I enjoyed reviewing this product and I promise to always mention whether or not I received this product for the basis of review.

Until Next Time,

Butter London Knees up Mani

Hey everyone,
I am going to be trying out a new way of blogging for a bit. I am using the Blogger Android app. Let me know if you guys like this way better or not. I am still not yet sure but it definitely gives me more freedom to write when I want where I want without being dependent on my Laptop. I am a bit confused as to how to add photos tho.. so I may or may not have to wait until I get home for that :/

Ok, so onto the show ;D

Butter London is B3Free runs for around 10 to 15 dollars and as far as I know has respectable wear time and great coverage/formula.
Knees up applied evenly and had amazing opacity for such a thin formula.

It is a gorgeous mid toned shimmery red. For my first Butter London it definitely has got me sold.

The end result was this mani :D I started to get tip wear and a friend had made a comment that I never do designs so this is what I came up with! The glitter is from WNW Halloween and the hearts are nail design hearts I found earlier this year.

So that is that. Hope you all enjoyed this lovely bunch of GlitterPukee :D
SO until next time, As it shall be very soon

Review: Bath and Body works Fine Fragrance Mist

Hello everyone,
No need to talk about how tempted I was just now to be VERY southern and say "Howdy' Ya'll"
XD Anyhow! I recently was selected to receive the Influenster Beauty Vox Box for May. It included a full sized Bath and Body Works Fine Fragance Mist in Twilight Woods.
Now, hear me out B&BW's lovers... I love and own enough B&B! product to restock a small stores.. I wish I was kidding.

But honestly I am not loving most of their new super perfumey scents that have been released recently. I kind of miss the overly sweet single(ish) notes of the old B&BW lines.
Anywhoooo, My point is that in my mind, I got very lucky, I am going to include the note analysis just in ccase any perfume heads get around to my blog. (FYI I AM A MAJOR PERFUME HEAD!!)

Introducing our NEW Fine Fragrance Mist. Our beautiful, sophisticated new bottle features a Fine Fragrance pump for a more delicate mist and improved coverage control. Lavishly spritz on your body to lightly scent your skin with our exclusive Twilight Woods, a hypnotic fragrance inspired by a romantic walk in enchanted woods.
  • Top Notes: Juicy Berry, Sparkling Mandarin, hint of Coconut
  • Mid Notes: Creamy Frangipani, Soft Mimosa, Wet Honeysuckle, Wild Freesia, Apricot Nectar
  • Dry Notes: Oud Wood, Musk, Orris, Vanilla Milk, Warm Woods
  • Aloe conditions and nourishes skin

I personally love that B&BW has created this new product. It has the staying power of a normal perfume but the application of an oldstyle perfume spray. You know the ones with the squishy air bladder at the end of a tube? Superfine mist that gently envelopes you. But I want to sayt hat when applying one should er on the side of caution. It is not a body splash! It is much stronger and essentially an Eau de Cologne. Probably has a lower percentage of perfume oil but it really is like spraying on an airy version of the Eau de Perfume.

(http://www.bathandbodyworks.com)  you can find the product on this site :)
So, that was a bit long winded.. but I love perfume and really wanted to share this awesome new product with you guys. :)
thanks for reading.. hope this review was helpful!
    And until next time
    GLITTERPUKEE!!! XD

Disclosure: I was sent this product to review through the influenster program.  http://www.influenster.com/ anyone can join so test your lucka nd try it out!. All images were taken directly from the official B&BW site. I did not edit them in anyway and are in no way my own. All opinions are mine and mine alone. I was not compensated in any way for my review except for being supplied with said product.

Joe fresh twilight

This is the lovely polish Joe Fresh Twilight. As far as I know it is not inspired by the hit teen series by Meyer but hey, I might be wrong. Anyhow. This is a multi-chrome reflecting flakie. It displays this deep orangey yellow color as well as a bright lemony lime green and at the very edges a deep wonderful turquoise blue. The polish base is a smokey grey jelly polish. It applies crazy smooth and I am sue I could have acheived much more depth by not only A, not layering it over a black creme polish (pictured here I am wearing it over SC black to black) and B, applying more than one layer of the polish. Whether it be over a black (or any solid colored base for that matter) another coat would indefinitely given me some more depth to the color. This polish has great wear time, it lasted with Revlon colorstay Tc and Bc for about 5 days with minimal tip wear. This is awesome because I tend to destroy manis quite quickly. Just a few days in I will have horrendous tip wear and chipping!
Overall this is a great polish, didn't smell horrid, was easy to apply and is an amazing color!
PHOTO BOMB AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

The number of photos makes me think of "why are you so obsessed with me?" But Twilight... you are such a beautiful color! I could not help but to attempt to capture that beauty with my camera! Despite not having the best of the best I was diligent in my attempts to capture you in all your glory as a digital image.

Hope ya'll enjoyed this post :)
Thanks for reading.. and ...
Until next time...
